god, I just watched the s3 all halloween special and it's sooo obvious they were still planning on the twin storyline from the books, the ghost girl is obviously representing Alison, and I refuse to believe we're supposed to think the "Alison" talking to Garrett and Jenna, is he same from other places that night, her vibes, look, hair, the way she talks and carries herself, it's so different?

I just really, really wish they stuck with it and didn't get all pissy because people figured it out and changed it last minute, because the ending sucks so bad and this one had such great buildup

UGH the show just had to play at least an homage to the Isaac/Em story line in some way, didn’t they? LAME, WEAK, AND ABSOLUTELY UNINSPIRED.

I was watching 3x1 "the return of A" and toby sits at the brew talking to emily about their new lifes or whatever, and toby says, like super suspisious; "and it feels VERY good, to be out on my own". it almost scared me how he said it. like he's finally -A...

Season 3 has a huge amount of Toby clues - now, they can all hint to his reveal at the end, or his reveal could’ve been a way to say “oh, I was just trying to help” and then they would never suspect him again.

So you are most likely right, this relief could’ve been pointing to him being A, the problem is knowing whether he was actually trying to protect Spencer or not!
