Do you know what I think would make the most amazing legendaries for Pokemon?
The Teumessian Fox and Laelaps.
Here me out, In greek mythology, the teumessian fox was a giant fox that was destined to never be caught. it was sent by the gods to prey upon the children of thebes for a crime. The Regent of Thebes then tasked a general with destroying the beast. The general’s response? the magical dog, Laelaps who was destined to catch everything it chased. But there was a problem. It was an inevitable contradiction and became a paradox itself. If you catch everyting you chase but the thing you chase can never be caught, what do you do? Zeus turned both the fox and the dog into stone in order to avoid what is essentially what would break the world. They were then cast into the stars and became Canis Major and Canis Minor.
Imagine the possibilities though. Just imagine it!!!!
