The matron is lost and packs roam with secondary leaders. It has spread, yes, but this is not something that cannot be cured. And so a sterile lab, a man known now for other things, and a mutated sample of the matron's sickness come together to create.

This is the second time that Bruce Banner has saved the city from this virus.

Update: Clinics have now opened up to administer a cure for the Vampire Sickness! There are teams in infected areas that are taking in still feral and loose vampires by force. Those in SHIELD are among the first given the cure.

The cure is about as painful as the illness. It spikes the fever before draining the carrier of all heat. It has been known to knock out some with the pain, slight delirium, intense stomach, and head pain present.

All current threads can come to their natural conclusions. However, threads after those will be considered “cured” from the virus.

Crawling up the wall (pt 2)

He had been running for a steady ten minutes when he heard a woman scream nearby. Not just scream but cry. (It had been a very shrill scream) She was most likely in distress, getting mugged or raped or murdered- and he turned the corner to run towards her before he even made the decision to help.

He runs up the street, trying to determine where the scream could have gotten from, when she cries out again. It sounds closer now, most likely the gap between those two buildings. Running into a dark street was ever a good idea, but that woman needed his help. He slows his steps as he runs towards a dead end of a building wall connecting the two buildings and the metal fire escape ladder from the right one that needs to be repaired.

A woman is crouched down in the corner behind some garbage cans and he walks towards her cautiously slow, both hands raised to show he means no harm. “Hey! Did you scream earlier? Do you need help?” He had been walking steadily forward until he was close enough to peer down, to get a look at her face she was hiding behind her bangs.

When he sees her raise her head and grin at him he knew he had made a mistake, even before quickly turning around and seeing several people in dark clothing blocking his escape route. He had run right into a trap. He didn’t have anything they could rob him off, he had just the key to Agent Black’s apartment and the clothes on his body. And his phone but he doubts those young people would be interested in an old Nokia. He didn’t even have his knife, he was such an idiot. “Listen, I don’t want trouble but I don’t have any money on me.”
