June 16th, the day before the carwash fundraising event. There was still so much that needed to be prepared but Jinki’s head was preoccupied with other stuff. His fingers reached for is lips. They still tingled. He could still feel the other’s plump ones on his. Soft and tender, yet so strong and powerful. Intense and at the same time so caring. The mixed signals were extremely confusing. Days after the event he still did not know how to interpret it all. Trying to make sense of this conflict in his head was one of the hardest things he had gone through in his life.

The words on the mobile phone reflected in his dark, teary eyes. He didn’t want to, but the urge was stronger than himself. Without consulting his brain, his fingers kept unlocking the phone every five seconds so the conversation would pop over and over again. If you could call it a conversation at all. It was more like a list of texts from one person without response from the other party.
I read that wrong, completely. That was my fault for not managing my feelings properly.
He sounded so composed. How could he have it all figured out while Jinki was here lying on his bed, kicking his feet in the air and pulling his hair in frustration. He was going to be bald by the end of the week if he kept pulling on his bangs like that.

The words were written down with seemingly no effort, as if it was normal to suggest such a thing after what had happened two days ago. As if he could pretend nothing had happened. As if their friendship could remain the same after this event.
His head was such a mess. He needed a talk, but who could help him figure out this battle between emotions and intellect when he himself couldn’t win the fight? He exited the conversation screen and searched for one of the only persons whom he believed could help him ease these conflicted feelings in his heart.
