If you picked up a long leaf basil seed kit during the July 8th ice cream social hosted by @proctorlanepatchandparlor - here is a handy photo tutorial for planting your seeds. 1. Fill your pot with a 50/50 soil and vermiculite mix. 2. Make a hole about 1/4 inch deep. 3. Put 2-3 seeds in the hole, then cover. (To help your seeds sprout, you can cover the pot with plastic film, which creates a mini-greenhouse effect) 4. Add the plant marker so you can easily identify your sprout. . Enclosed in the kit is an index card for keeping a record of how your basil is doing. Get the family together and learn how seeds become plants. 🪴 . Post photos of your process, and make sure to tag @proctorlanepatchandparlor and @kimeupton - use the hashtag #plpphgbf2022kit so we can find your posts. 🥰 .
