How is the next chapter of pltc going? I’m beyond excited for it!

hello my friend!! the next chapter is coming swimmingly (she says, with no hit of irony over the fact that it’s been - what? a month in the making?)

but seriously. some editing and it’s good as gold. do I dare give a date??? do I dare say this weekend-ish?? we’ll see how much editing must happen but. this weekend is looking promising. but also. no promises.

hello! how are you doing?? how is the next chapter going??

hello friend!! I’m slowly losing my grip on reality with every passing day that doesn’t bring us a season 2 trailer 😊

and the next chapter of pltc is doing significantly better than my sanity!!!! I’ve gotten the structure figured out and most of the major scenes, but now I need to figure out how to transition between all the scenes and then a final round of editing and we are good as gold!!

Mamatbdc?

mamatbdc is the sequel to pltc!!! It stands for memories and misadventures at the beach dune cafe and for some reason, I now call it “mamba” in my head. basically, the Pogues split up after high school and then all end up back on Kildare island a few years later. they have... quite a bit to talk about and a lot of margaritas to drink, lol. 

here’s a little snippet:

After the HMS Pogue officially shits the bed, JJ declares they are going to find Kiara a new margarita place. They toast to Bobby’s, and then begin the arduous process of drinking every margarita available on Kildare. They start out at The Champagne Ship, a glitzy bar that overlooks the water on Figure Eight. Kiara is wary when the bartender doesn’t ask if she wants salt on the rim, and completely loses hope when he brings over the dinkiest little cup she’s ever seen. Bobby’s used to sell margaritas in fucking goblets, large enough to keep Kiara preoccupied for most of the night. This small cup of tequila and lime is not enough to please her, nor is it worthy of the twenty dollar price tag. Kiara complains about it loudly after her third glass, while JJ alternates laughing and trying to shut her up.

ahhhhh thank you so much 💕💕💕 it should be out sooner rather than later, as I’ve given myself a deadline with our rapidly approaching season 2. in the meantime, I can certainly offer a snippet!

“So, you have Dorito the Dolphin tattooed behind your ear,” John B says, shrugging and moving the mirror slightly. Kiara loses sight of Dorito again. “Honestly, there are worse things.” 

“Like blood boune illnesses,” JJ says, and Kiara rolls her eyes. 

“Not you too,” she mutters, and he just smirks back at her. 

“A 15 page PowerPoint is waiting for you.” JJ nods to where Pope is standing with his arms crossed. “Courtesy of Dorito.” 

“There will be a PowerPoint,” Pope confirms, looking solemnly at Kiara through the mirror. “Dorito will be an only child.”
