i’ve been seeing lots of self-indulgent content with some of the gym leaders, i’m kinda curious now :0

as much as i love my F/Os, the reason why i rarely gush is ‘cause i....i don’t wanna feel like a bother to anyone/clog up their dashboards. ^^;;;

going off on one piece again, i have a lot of favorite moments, but water seven is like, a definite standout [if we’re talking post-timeskip arcs then it’s the whole cake island arc].

come to think of it, to me, water seven’s one of the best [pre time-skip] arcs because it has a balance between epic and emotional moments. case in point:

CP9 = one of the most legitimate threats to the strawhat pirates, i mean this is one of the few times luffy was on the brink of death [OK yeah there’s also the arlong pirates, but when you compare them to CP9, you find there’s actually a huge gap in terms of group strength.]

robin’s backstory and the moment she declared she wanted to live

the going merry’s viking funeral. the fact that it was actually sentient, even in its last moments, hits home even harder...

the reveal of chopper’s “monster point” and how lethal it is when it was untamed. i mean ffs he beat down kumadori to a pulp

the first times luffy used gear second/gear third.

this arc is also noted for having everyone else in the strawhat crew get their bounties [luffy got his own after the arlong park arc, zoro’s was during the whiskey peak incident, and robin’s had her own ever since she was young]. this just means that the crew itself is now one of the biggest threats to the marines.

there’s also the duel between luffy and usopp, ‘cause of the going merry’s condition. seeing friends fight like that hurts-
