Heady blend of Americana twang, home recorded black metal/ doom abrasion, and lengthy detours into ambient/ music concrete/ noise territory... Might be too "out there" for those looking for a more traditional black metal approach but I could totally see it appealing to those who dig the twangy Earth stuff, Cryostasium, Light, Horseback, Popul Vuh, and just generally spacing out on a winter afternoon.

OUT NOW: People Like Us - Welcome Abroad (LP + Digital) Originally released back in 2011, "Welcome Abroad" is a strangely relevant 10-year-old album (originally released in May 2011) when People Like Us aka Vicki Bennett became stranded in the US after the Icelandic Eyjafjallajökull volcano eruption closed much of northern Europe’s airspace. Stuck in Baltimore and NYC, she decided to write an album themed around displacement and disaster, and had help from local heroes M.C.
