Tummyache Heaven
Roleplay concept: A world where the rich keep human-pets. Among the elite, the level of opulence in which you maintain your pet is a direct reflection on your own worth. One of the ways to visibly spoil your pets is to perpetually oversupply them with rich food. Over time, this evolve to the idea of one's pets having massive bellyaches at all times becoming extremely attractive. These pets are paraded around like trophies, having their constant overindulgence shown off. Anything that shows off their bellyache is encouraged. The worse their tummyache is, the better. Therefore, anything that shows off how bad their tummy upset is is considered hot-- the louder their bellies gurgle, the more they whimper, the stranger the shape they take, and of course the bigger their belly gets, all reflect well on their owners. There are facilities dedicated entirely to training these pets, as well as places that sell them. And, then, the main attraction, the folks who own them and show them off-- they are wealthy and opulent people who love to show off. There are frequently parties held where such pets will be allowed to "play" together-- usually revolving around laying together in comfortable (relatively) piles and cuddling, being fed, or getting their tummies tended, sometimes all at the same time-- and shown off at the same time.
