It was drabble night in the r/FanFiction discord server so I decided to write a drabble for the previously mentioned MysteChaos story idea (a full fic might still happen though)

Warning for angst, character death (it's Kenny tho so he'll be fine. Physically.) and gun violence

Even after dozens of deaths, the bullet in his shoulder still hurt like a bitch.

“Mysterion!” Butters ran over and hovered over Kenny’s now-limp form. “Don’t worry. I’ll c-call an ambulance.”

Fuck. Kenny’s family couldn’t afford one. The wound wasn’t fatal, but he’d bleed out soon enough, right? “Please Chaos, don’t. I’ll be okay. Just run.” Butters was teary-eyed and about to protest, but the gun still pointed at him made it hard to argue. He fled. Kenny laid there, letting the fluorescent lights above burn into his eyes as he waited for the familiar sensation of death to come.

happy Thursday! for those of you who follow my fireflies fic, have an update!

Plumeria and Aymeric 58. playful kisses, such as, ‘‘i’m not going to kiss you.’‘ ‘‘why?’‘ ‘‘because if i do, i don’t think we’re getting out of bed today’‘

"Why not?" she asks, with a whine in her voice. "Why won't you kiss me, you cruel thing?"

"Because," Aymeric says, voice lowered to not be overheard. Though there's a half-wall separating them from the bustling crowd beyond, it's still not much in the way of privacy. "We've a meeting in five minutes, and even if I kiss you just the once I fear I'll make us late." Paliea strains up to pepper a few kisses to his chest, pulling at his crossed arms.

"Come on, just a few? Just one." She manages to pry one of his hands free, and he laughs as she eagerly smatters kisses across his knuckles. "We've been apart for months, and you can't spare a kiss for me?"

Aymeric steals his hand back to tilt her face up as he leans down to meet her with a smile drawn out by all her antics. "Well, when you put it that way..." He angles in for the kiss.

"Just the one."

24: “Being cute cannot save you from everything.”

Paliea barely has time to register the sound of mechanics breaking, metal grinding, glass breaking before the words are out of her mouth.

"Being cute can't save you from everything, love."

She looks back over her shoulder at Ramas behind her, stuck still where he'd stumbled to the floor, shakily pushing his glasses back up his nose and staring at the machine she'd just felled, beyond where she stands in front of him with her bow still drawn. She'd practically dived between them, to his defense, when the level checker had turned its gaze to him.

And there's a lot to process, because he knows it's true. He's confident in his equations, his designs, but when it comes down to it...

He sighs and shrinks a little further into himself. "I-I'm sorry..." he says. "Perhaps... I'm not cut out for this."

Paliea's smile fades, sensing the weight behind his words, and she turns to him fully, extending a hand to help him to his feet.

"That's all right. I'll be here to save you from the rest."
