Juniper is one of my most beloved plushies! I got her as a kid at a Ripley’s Aquarium giftshop while on a road trip. She sat in my bin of childhood plushies for a while, until I rediscovered her in ~2021 and got very attached to her. This is when I gave her her current name. Funnily enough, this was before I got super into turtles, but that interest made me attachment to her that much stronger. Petting her carapace (especially when she was less worn down) makes for a great stim, and I love taking her with me places! Unfortunately, her carapace is no longer super soft like it used to be, and the color of her top side has faded significantly after she spent a few months living on my car dashboard, but she’s still a wonderful plush and I love her very much! To be loved is to be changed and all that :’}

god im going to be fucking hallucinating this video for months ok there’s just so much to this to break down

the initial fact they’re talking through a hand puppet with the oobi eyes 

the horrible, horrible desynch between their words and the movements of the hand 

lack of any clear place the hand is looking 

“dwells in the depths”. just the whole sentence itself and the weird inflection on it.

the fact that the dude clearly already discovered this thing and was so moved by it they went to record it 

“wuoah”, and the split second of open-palmed hand that no longer resembles a puppet 

the weird fade in on the music and the fact it sounds a little distorted at first 

the very specific but undefinable emotion conveyed by the music

Previously, I have posted about how in the prototype version of Mario Artist: Paint Studio for the Japan-only Nintendo 64DD add-on, crashing the game shows a bizarre "You've been DINGLED..." screen with a British school crossing patrol officer, colloquially known as a "lollipop man" (included since the game being mainly developed by Software Creations, a British studio).

Interestingly, this is barely visible in the game itself as the actual "You've been DINGLED..." screen appears for only 2/3 of a second before being replaced with the crash debug information. As such, it appears that even during the prototype phase this was intended to be a sudden moment of surprise that requires viewing it multiple times to fully process the image, and was likely inserted as a prank between the British programmers.
