How SWR Pipe Fittings Manage Gravity Drainage in Residential and Commercial Buildings
SWR pipe fittings are engineered for soil, waste, and rainwater drainage applications in buildings, operating entirely under gravity-flow conditions. Unlike pressure systems, these fittings must manage variable flow velocities, self-cleaning gradients, and solid particle transport without blockage. Ring-seal socket joints allow controlled thermal expansion while maintaining a watertight seal under test conditions. Standard components include bends, junctions, access doors, rest bends, and P-traps, each geometrically designed to maintain hydraulic continuity in the drainage stack. IS 14735 and BS 4514 govern manufacturing dimensions and performance criteria.
