As you can see,the original definition of Feathered Serpent,is Just a weather phenomenon, called Tornado/Whirlwind 🌪️🌪️

I don't usually do fluffy dragons at all, but I've been drawing a lot of Yutyrannus recently, and got inspired to do a more feathery dragonish creature. He's not explicitly Quetzalcoatl, but he's definitely Quetzalcoatl adjacent. I might do a more finished painting along these lines later.

Smaugust Day 9 - Quetzalcoatl

According to my mom, Quetzalcoatl will come out of his house once a year for his annual sun bathing. After a few minutes, he goes back inside and is never seen again. She only knows this from when she read the newspapers while living in Mexico. However, there is a yearly tradition that locals participate in. They go to the tallest temple they can find, climb up the stairs (which can be a health hazard if you’re not prepared) and spread their hands towards the sun. It is believed that the sun acts as a sort of purifier, cleaning the person’s aura for the new year.

I also figured out an easier way of drawing a pyramid temple, lol.

Lord Kukulkan ... blazed with power. Kukulkan became a true lord of genius - on one occasion he would climb up to the sky, on another he would go down the road to Xibalba. On another occasion he would be serpentine, becoming an actual serpent.
