This Quetsche à l’Ancienne 2018/2019 was simply a fruity lambic heaven delight... Last month in CA I enjoyed plucking - and snacking on -my father’s plums, so I figured the time was ripe to again try Gueuzerie Tilquin’s unique plum lambic... and it was so delicious (didn’t I already say this?). Young and fruity, and quite hazy, even though I’m sure I was careful enough not to disturb it. Should I have waited another year to let it settle? I have no idea. I will buy another bottle to open in a years time to find out, but regardless this bottle’s fruity haziness didn’t bother me at all - maybe because I tasted and loved too many hazy NE IPA’s last month while in the US. I don’t know, and I don’t care. Either way, YUM. On another side, I’ve been getting myself in shape these days by biking along Flanders’ biking network, and yesterday I headed out to knooppunt 272 in Limburg for a trip through Pijnven’s canopy (see other photos). Nothin’ like feelin’ in kick ass shape, riding/flying through the trees, and just lovin’ the beer before me.
