We have always been ostracized and gawked at. We have always been seen as fake and trendy. Yes, always. We have never been taken seriously, no matter how we protrayed ourselves.

Just in media:

Psycho was released in 1960.

The Three Faces Of Eve was released in 1957.

Sibyl was published in 1973 (and at the time the system it was based off was fakeclaimed so hard they are still internationally mocked).

Me, Myself & Irene was released in 2000.

I need to let my alters actually front, but I'm so front stuck. It sounds weird, because we both want to swap places for a moment but nothing will triegger it.

i understand how you feel a lot and can only give a few tips as ive found that situations like these can be very personal.

one ive found is try to locate any reason you might be front stuck, whether that be worrying you might miss something or something will happen. this can definitely affect your fronting habits.

ive always found that once i do that i try to relax and try to envision myself leaving the front. even if i cant fully imagine it i try to walk myself through the process and make sure i have someone ready to front beforehand.

i cant guarantee this will help of course and i welcome anyone else to share tips in the notes but this is what has worked for me personally.

Singlets have a habit of going “it’s impossible to have multiple people in one body” and just. Not questioning why.

You’re basing this off of your own experience, which is valid, but there are people with different experiences. You’re operating off of your own stereotypes and biases and refusing to be told any different.

You cannot be an expert on someone else’s experience and you need to stop talking over us when our reality doesn’t work with the story you want to tell.

The person who told him this supposedly has diagnosed DID and is training in DID research. We aren’t sure if they’re a troll, but they definitely target newer impressionable systems.

Well they're wrong, and they almost certainly know it.

Is it wrong to call the other members of my system "alters?" It's the term we all prefer but I've seen some systems that seem really bothered by that language... I'm generally just really bad at knowing what language is okay to use when talking about systems. I've been part of a system a long time but only recently discovered the community... I just don't want to hurt or offend anyone. We've heard the term "headmates" but none of us love it and one of us actively dislikes it.

There are a lot of systems who don't like the term for themselves, but that doesn't mean you can't use it! Whatever you& feel fits you the best.

That being said, alter is probably one of if not the only word that is originally and strictly medical in meaning, and is generally considered something only for disordered systems, so just keep that in mind.

It seems fusion and splitting is less like fractions and more like colors. Is purple any more of a color than blue or red?

We can be all full beings and still be no less nor greater than any singlet, I think. Not better, not worse. Just different.
