My Curvy Kitten Feature is now up on the SWAK site! <3 You can score absolutely every SWAK Designs piece I'm wearing in my feature for only $154.70 (normally $309.40) during their big Labor Day Sale. That’s the June Skirt, Perfect Cami, Marion Chiffon Top, Bianca Duster (in both styles) and Sabrina maxi dress (which is my favorite dress of all time--I own this in four colors, now---and they are selling out mega fast)! Check out their site for sale details and codes. Photographer: Lesley Pedraza H/MUA: Claudia Rivas
Does anyone know a reputable website to sell "plus size" lingerie shots or nudes. I'm fat, I'm attractive, and I'm broke. I've been thinking about this for awhile, but I'm nervous about getting too much skeevy attention.
FFFWeek: Making arrangements before the BIG event
So got that email that I was in and now I had 25 days to get flights in and out of new york and let the FFFweek know I was coming down. Managed to snag some cheapies under $200 for my flight out and back. Now looking for a place to stay while I was in NYC was a whole different task.
One of my friends at school said we could prob stay at his friends' places because he was going up to NYC the same time I was. But those plans slowly fell off the face of the earth the more I followed up with him. My mother and I went back and forth about how and where I was gonna stay. She was living vicariously through me and wanted this experience to be pretty cushy and sweet. I decided the best thing to do economically was grab a hostel after my friend did not come through. The place to seem to do this was hostelworld since you're not only getting US reviews but international traveler's one's as well. Manhattan hostels all seemed awful even though they were cheap. I did not want to be in cramped lodging with loud jackasses so I looked outside the Manhattan borough and eventually found some sweet digs in Brooklyn. And I got my room--or so I thought!
A week before I had to leave this June I made sure to go and confirm everything that was coming up for FFFweek: what was requested of models to bring, my budget, my planned free time, the schedule of times I had to be anywhere for FFFweek (I even made a PDF for myself and the rest of the models), my flights, and then the hostel I was staying at! Thank goodness I did all this!
I discovered the hostel I had booked was no where to be found on hostelworld anymore and that their website and email address were defunct and the phone had been disconnected! I tried sending a email and it bounced back as undeliverable, I tried calling and it was disconnected, I found one lone review on Google from a month before from an international traveler saying the owner had lied about their dates of stay and that they did not put them up! I had booked back in April and the place had already gone to hell and out of business by JUNE!
I immediately booked what I could with a new hostel and got a confirmation email from the owner in hours and tied up everything!
Well I applied to a Plus agency here in Toronto. I don't expect anything to come of it but hey at least I attempted.
