sorry if you mainly wanted asks on your ocs, but i’m really curious who your plushie manu is, and just generally, what manufacturers you think are best to work with, if any? i’m quite interested in the process of it all !

whatever kinds of questions are cool, i just like chatting/answering stuff :]

as for my manu, i worked with Shanghai Got Gift Co.! i had a recommendation for them from some years back and when i finally wanted to make a plush, i liked the look of their page (years of experience, verified seller, certifications for safety, etc). rep was really nice, quick responses, and very patient with my revision requests.

i can't really say much on what other plush manus are best to work with since this is the only plush i've worked on with a supplier! but i'm pretty happy with how things with went SGG.

if you mean what other manus for OTHER kinds of merch, then my main "manu" is the margalita pizza GO, a group order server that i've worked closely with for several years now and where i get cool stuff like my outfit changer and cd charms (they were the ones that created the original template before other manus swooped in and swiped it). i'd recommend it more for people who are experienced with making merch since it can be overwhelming for beginners. but it has peak quality and rin, the GO runner, is a lovely and dedicated person.

i've also heard good things about and want to personally test kuien for quicker turnarounds! hopefully, depending on how the tariffs situation goes as prices for each of these are going to change very soon.

do you have any tips for washing the june plush? i've been using her pretty frequently in the couple days ive had her but ive noticed she's

luckily i have an answer for this from some time ago! the full range of tips i have are in the link above.

please try to only handwash your egbuns and use soft bristled tools like a toothbrush to help the fibers maintain shape. avoid fully submerging them, plush dolls in general can be very susceptible to mold as water gets trapped in the stuffing.

here is someone's before and after using the other post's mentioned ZOTE soap, handwashing, a clean toothbrush and airdrying. another item that might be helpful is Grandma's Secret Spot Remover that can be used directly on dolls for stains and is bleach-free

do you have a pattern or measurements for the clothes used on the egplush? i really want to sew extra outfits for it.

i don't have any patterns but any standard clothes made for a 20cm omodoki style doll should fit! i took a few estimated measurements with string and my cutting mat if it helps.

if there's anything i missed that someone might need if they also want to make clothes or check if what they plan on buying will fit, lmk! i'll add the measurement.

hi!! sorry, i don't do custom plushies.

the egbun plushies were my first large-scale project with a factory supplier that normally requires a 50 count minimum order, so they're not really viable for customs!

as for things like my own fantroll plushies, i have the one that i commissioned from another user and an attempt i did myself and i'm not confident enough yet in my own skills to make customs, if ever LMAO

maybe someday in the future i'll offer something similar, either made by me or design comms for people to take to a manu themselves if they can find one that does a single order

like with most of that style cotton doll, handwash only! surface wash only, if you can help it.

i've seen recommendations for this white ZOTE soap in a doll server i'm in or baby laundry detergent.

wet areas that need cleaning with lukewarm water and lather the soap in. rinse off and repeat as needed. to dry, squeeze as much water as possible out of the doll, dry excess with a soft towel, and let air dry.

i would avoid fully submerging them in water as the more water they soak in, the more you risk mold. if you are really worried about them being too wet still, you can put her in a washing machine bag (or a pillow case) with a towel for cushioning and dry on the lowest setting!

also if the texture is off after drying, you can use the tongue side of a clean toothbrush to smooth it back out. i hope her bath goes well!

any standard 20cm cotton doll clothes (if you're familiar with omodoki, that's the body standard). you can find them pretty easily on sites like aliexpress, taobao/superbuy, etc. here are some example listings where i got my own extra clothes for egbun: 1, 2.

i would like to and planned on doing more designs, but i'm waiting to see how the current tariff situation goes!

because the manu that i work with for plushies is based in china and tariff cost agreements can change in as little as days, pricing a high cost/high volume item like plushies is too risky and makes it expensive for you guys as well u_u

with the 145% tariff increase, i would need to raise the price to at least $70 to cover my bases and make profit and i don't trust the likelihood of 50 people minimum to buy it at that price in the current economy

(nor do i trust the US president to not change his mind on a whim where it could be more expensive by the time plushies would be ready to ship)
