To give you an idea of just how insanely detailed and mind-blowing this game is, I just wrapped up my fourth play through of Seven Symphonies, Act 1—and every single time I played, I caught something new that I missed before.
If you haven’t played, I highly suggest checking it out before spoiling it for yourself! Here is my idea of how the tablets work after seeing all four of them:
When you first enter destiny tower, you find a tablet known as “Tabula Rasa,” which translates to “blank slate” in Latin. It's a concept that describes the idea that people are born without any innate knowledge, and that all knowledge comes from experience.
While climbing destiny tower, you’re given a few choices to make that will change the tablet and your destiny. At one point, you run into Team Skull, who has allegedly repented for their crimes and asks for forgiveness. If you choose to forgive Team Skull, your Tablet turns blue, and the name changes to “Tabula Aquae” or, “Tablet of Water.” If you choose to not forgive them, your tablet turns red, and the name changes to “Tabula Ingis” or, “Tablet of fire.”
Next, you find Team Raider and Team Charm locked in a heated rivalry, both pushing for Wigglytuff to join their team to make it to the top. As their argument escalates on one of the floors, they put the decision in your hands—leaving you, the hero, to choose which team will claim Wigglytuff. The team you don’t choose will challenge you to a battle at the end of the floor.
Once defeated, you’re faced with a choice: either forfeit their ambition and grow stronger yourself, or forfeit their soul and allow one of them to join your team. Choosing to forfeit their ambition after not forgiving Team Skull causes your tablet to glow orange, transforming into the “Tabula Pugna,” or “Board of Battle.” On the other hand, choosing to forfeit their soul after forgiving Team Skull turns your tablet green, evolving into the “Tabula Silvana,” or “Forest Tablet.”
If you make contradictory choices, like forgiving Team Skull and forfeiting their ambition, or refusing to forgive them and forfeiting their soul, the positive and negative outcomes cancel each other out, leaving the tablet blank and neutral once again.
Anyways, after 60+ hours of gameplay, I am unbelievably excited for the next update!! I can’t wait to see where my choices take me!
