I Helped Launch a PMD Fanfiction Website!

So you might've seen in my recent fic updates but there's a new Website specifically for PMD Fanfiction! And I totally helped make it! It's run and operated by members of the PMD Fic Writing community and they've all been hard at work updating and keeping the place running! We got a few fics on there already, so we'd love it if you gave it a try!

It's got:

Built-in Text to Speech reading!

Color/Saturation/Font adjust sliders!

The ability to tag paragraphs as sensitive so readers can hide them!

Pretty Splash pages!

Image and Music hosting!

An AO3 Chapter HTML Converter tool for quickly porting your own stories! (There's steps for using it with FFN stories, too!)

Robust bookmarks and a 'read later' button that adds a story to your 'bookshelf' for later!

PMDFF for legacy browsers update: starting the hono refactor, got the main page and chapter page working

cache layer is... mostly working as well

for the 3DS fic readers out there: yes it's supported on the 3DS, good chance it'll work on the DSi as well (that said I gotta add an option to change font size still), it should also work in the Wii and Wii U browser.

As a website centered around all fanfiction related to PMD, we're aware that not every piece of PMD fan media can be found on our website. To remedy this, we're including a new PMD Fanfiction Directory, which will allow us to catalog even more fanfiction and comics from outside the site, linking directly to the website they are hosted on. Custom Reactions to Comments

To promote even more interactivity between fellow readers and the author, you can now react to comments with special emotes to show your appreciation, or when you aren't entirely sure what to respond with!

Feature Updates

Improved dynamic audio shortcode

New shortcode has been added to allow you to better control audio playing on different chapters!

Media file upload failure message rework

Previously, some users were confused by the error message that occurred when a media file failed to upload. The error message has now been changed to be less ambiguous. This is part of our continued push to help PMDFF become even more navigable for authors.

Miscellaneous Changes

Added an alert after exceeding 5000 characters on a story page

Added a chapters-read-(count) class to the root of the story page

Comic page is now displayed to the right of the date in the comments of a comic

Added CSS polyfills ":playing", ":paused", etc.

Moved Effie around a bit
