I get why people like Nathan fielder "no one's allowed in the cockpit if there's something wrong with them so if you're here you must be fine" thing and I don't want to ruin it for them. but also like, the FAAs policies on pilot mental health are MASSIVELY BROKEN and it's a huge issue within the private and commercial aviation community. Pilots basically can never even mention if they have any mental health issues let alone see a professional even one time to talk about them. Like if the FAA hears you go to a therapist or struggled for even a limited time due to an acute issue that's not even happening anymore you can lose your medical cert (and maybe your career if you're a commercial pilot) for life.
