Halloween Outsiders HC’S

-Darry dressed up as a football player for three years in a row -Soda wasn’t allowed anything with caramel or toffee in it because Mrs. Curtis claimed it made him ‘too hyper’ -One year, Two-bit dressed up wearing his mother’s dress, bra, and heels,,, She didn’t really see the humour in it -Ponyboy would always get too shy to say “trick-or-treat” when someone opened the door, so Darry would always say it for him -Mr. Curtis let Soda and Darry watch ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ and it scared the hell out of Soda, and after that, Darry would always tell him that the pound down the street has a monster in it just to scare him -Steve’s allergic to peanuts so Mrs. Curtis would always make sure she had special candy out just for him -Surprisingly, Johnny liked the corn mazes and haunted house attractions more than anyone else in the gang -Since Johnny and Pony were smaller and would get tired stop trick-or-treating before the rest of them, Dally would always quietly share his candy with them so they didn’t feel left out

Curly first realized his sexuality after watching Ponyboy at one of his track meets. There was something about watching him panting and dripping with sweat that made Curly want to fuck the shit out of him.

Ponyboy was actually only 6 the first time he had a ‘crush’ on a boy- he even told his mom that he wanted to marry him. Pony first realized he liked Curly though shortly after his parents passed away. Somehow, Curly still managed to make Pony laugh during that time, and his persistent cocky and sarcastic attitude helped him feel like things were still normal.

-Soda tries to convince the two of you to dress up as ketchup and mustard -Ponyboy almost considers it until he sees the look on your face-You end up going as Bonnie and Clyde-Although Pony usually hates parties, he can’t wait to show you off at Tim’s Halloween party -Pony’s a bit more protective of you as you’re both walking to Tim’s because the Soc’s are known to roam in the Greaser territory more around Halloween and mess with people-Curly catches you guys making out at the party and tells you to get a room before he pukes-Angela kept giving the side-eye all night because he and Bryon chose the same costumes, and it was clear that everyone liked Pony and yours costume better -At the end of the night, Ponyboy gives you a little trick-or-treat bag filled with candies because he’s a sweet lil shit

⌆ a nervous tic or habit they do

Soda’s worst nervous habit is that he bites his nails. The week Pony and Johnny went missing, he literally chewed his nails until they bled.

⏀ describe their usual smile

Warm and genuine. Even Soda’s casual smiles reach his eyes and he always shows all of his teeth whenever he smiles.

⇅ do they look up or down while thinking?

Neither- Soda will stare straight ahead and not blink. The rest of the gang finds it very,,,, unnerving.

❧ describe their usual sleeping position

He sleeps fairly straight and on his side, mainly because he shares the bed with Pony and doesn’t want to squish him into the wall. However, when he does get the chance to sleep on his own, he sprawls out on his stomach.

✜ what’s their posture like in a normal situation?

Surprisingly, Soda has the best posture out of all of the gang. It’s not perfect, but its rare to ever catch him slouching.

His hands are a bit on the smaller side and as much as he tries to keep on top of it, he usually has car grease or oil under his nails. Two-bit likes to tease that Soda has ‘girl hands’ and it bugs him a little.

“Socks and shoes, I need my socks and shoes”- he’ll repeat this under his breath as he’s getting ready for work because there have been times in the past where he’s walked out the door wearing neither.

All of the Curtis men grey in the same way- it starts of subtle and then goes into the sort of ‘salt and pepper’ look. They all have really thick hair and none of them ever bald. Soda does keep his hair fairly long throughout his whole life though, unlike Ponyboy and Darry.

Tickling, gently teasing, random full-on hugs, and giving pet/nick names

He still has the horse brush that he would use to brush Mickey and even though he knows he’ll never see that horse again, he still holds on to it.
