Pocahontas (Q'orianka Kilcher) is a nature conservationist who works at a wildlife reserve. She has nature magic- a gift that allows her to speak to and understand the nature around her. It makes her good at her job- very good at her job. In fact, she’s so good, she’s up for a promotion. She has the opportunity to travel across the country, visiting other wildlife preserves and assisting the conservationists there.
Her family wants her to stay. Her family has made pottery for many years and although they support her different career, they think it’s best for Pocahontas to stay, to choose the safe and steady course. But Pocahontas has always been looking around the bend for something new.
