Pnlp : Vol de moustiquaires vendues au marché noir
I will be working at Senegal's National Malaria Control Program for the next six months, and I just got set up with my own desk that is currently surrounded by boxes full of this comic book. It was published by IntraHealth International, and it is written in French. Its target population seems to be mothers living in rural villages, although everyone acknowledges the fact that many mothers in rural Senegal either do not speak French or cannot read it.
Portraying the stories of three young children, it emphasizes the difference between serious and uncomplicated malaria and drives home the point that mothers should bring their children to the poste de santé as soon as certain symptoms are visible (particularly a "hot body" and lack of appetite).
