Nothing to do with Cyber (anything): just a recommendation
I keep forgetting to mention these.
I don't know about other people, but though I really like poached eggs, until now I've found making them by the traditional methods a pain in the butt.
Well, so much for that, as suddenly someone has come out with these things that are like little egg teabags, and they absolutely work. If you're in the UK or Ireland, and you'd like to have your poached eggs be a matter-of-fact and simple phenomenon rather than a huge bloody nuisance, then look around and see if you can find these somewhere. (Our local branch of the SuperValu grocery chain carries them.)
The method's dead simple. Bring your water up to the boil and reduce to simmer. Then grab an old-fashioned glass or some similar tumbler (I use an empty Nutella glass myself), put the little paper egg-teabag in it, and crack an egg into it. Then lift the whole business (well, minus the glass) into the simmering water. Repeat for however many eggs you have, set the timer for six minutes and go away. Come back, take them out one at a time, and decant the finished poached eggs onto a plate with a paper towel to get rid of the excess water. Then serve.
Absolutely brilliant! One more problem solved. Now all we need is world peace.
(oh look, they have a website: Poachies.com.) (No money has changed hands here, BTW. These things have simply made my life simpler, and if you like poached eggs and find the normal production method onerous, you should hunt them down and give them a try.)
