If you aint melanated, if your ancestors werent on a boat, had your homes taken from you. If you dont wake up everyday scared that a pig is going to shoot you. If you never looked in the mirror with a nappy head while your parents tried to comb it out. If you can use a straight razor without the fear of your chin lookin like nestle crunch. If you dont have to fight every day to make sure that the people who look like you can and will be seen as people, I ask you to shut the fuck up.
We don’t need y’all to fight our battles for us like THIS. We don’t need y’all threatening the lives of creators AGAIN because some dude said something adjacent to nigga. We are in a time where our rights are on the line everyday. Not just black people. Every person of every shade creed gender and sexuality. Putting focus on 1 dude, who generally seems kind, making one off color joke (no pun intended) and apologizing for it, is so fucking stupid. We have bigger things to focus on and get mad about.
If yall care about minorities, do something that matters. Sign petitions, go to protests, inform people about how politicians are continuing to put us in the ground I dont fucking know. Figure it out. But make it matter.
