Nobotsuna Kamiizumi woke up from his sleep, drenched in sweat and his fists clenched to the point that his knuckles had turned white. His breathing was heavy and unsteady, and the horrified look on his face served as a grimm reminder of the nightmare that had just haunted him.
It took the man quite some time to catch his breath again, and it was only when he did that he noticed that his left hand had grabbed his katana in his sleep.
This nightmare… it had been so intense, it had left him wishing to use his weapon to disperse it. But how could it not have? After all, he had just had to witness the person he always loved die in the most horrible way he could imagine, unable to save her or at least ease her pain… - How could he not be this disturbed by it?
He tried to put his blade aside only to find his hand would not open at his will. Too much did his subconscious crave to shield itself against this horrible image it was subjected to just now. It was clear to him that sleep would not welcome him back again this night.
So he’d do one thing he could: Get up and exercise.
Hopefully it’d help him calm down. Oh, and get this sudden urge to cut down the salvemaker under control.

Zora is part of what I dub the A&P!verse, which is a verse that's sort of been developing since high school, I think! So far, it's more of a slice of life thing than anything else. I've thought about expanding it into some sort of modern fantasy thing sometimes, but I have another verse where I can pour all my FANTASY FEELS, so for now, it's still slice of life!
It's called "A&P" because it's partially inspired by the short story A&P" by John Updike and also by something I saw in a ShopRite catalog a long time ago called ShopRite From Home. Through the program, you can fill out a form online with all the groceries you want and a ShopRite employee will then go into the supermarket and collect your stuff for you. Then you can go in and pick it up whenever.
SO BASICALLY, I got really intrigued by the idea! You know how you can tell what someone is like based off of the way their room looks? I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS THE SAME WITH GROCERIES AND THAT IS HOW THE VERSE WAS BORN.
So Zora, about 14-16 y/o, is a newly-hired employee in an UNTITLED supermarket whose job is to collect other people's groceries. Basically, she becomes a part of these people's lives, inferring the kind of people they're like from what they buy and stuff. Sometimes there's nothing intriguing to them, and other times they have problems that Zora goes out of her way to solve even though she's pretty much a delinquent and hates people and is always going on about how much the world sucks and is corrupted and etc.
SHE ALSO HAS AN ACCOMPLICE WHO WORKS AT THE SUPERMARKET WITH HER BUT THIS PERSON HAS NO NAME BECAUSE I HAVE YET TO FIGURE OUT THAT PART, SO.
As for Zora's family, she's an only child living with her dad who's a mechanic of sorts. Her mom left when Zora was young to backpack across the country, and every now and then she sends a postcard home that Zora lights on fire instead of reading. But it's more complex than that and I'M STILL SIFTING THROUGH THE DETAILS ALKDJLFKSDF;;
Zora doesn't really have any friends SAVE FOR THE ACCOMPLICE WHO HAS YET TO HAVE A NAME, but she'd never admit UNTITLED to be a friend of hers because pssh, she's a LONE WOLF and all that.
I have an idea of what she looks like and how she dresses and her postures and ALL THAT BUT THIS IS ALREADY SUPER LONG SO I WILL NOT DELVE INTO MOAR DETAIL.
I've also been shopping her around a few Shingeki no Koyjin RPs, but A&P is the verse she belongs in! :DDD
And a related fact… Sheryl loves feeding animals, and endeared herself to Lilica’s wyvern when she started feeding her a bunch of spare food scraps from camp. The fact that it was willing to wait for Sheryl to catch up when Lilica left their old camp is the main reason why Lilica and Sheryl were able to join Eleanor’s army together *v*

Mr. Munson because he made AP English Literature lots of fun and super interesting (even though his summer homework before CLASS EVEN STARTED WAS HARD AND LSDKFJLSJKDF;;), and Ms. Graham because she was always encouraging and was fun to talk to, haha (even if she could be a bit scary when it came to deadlines, omg). :DDD

OK! So this is WAAAYYY back when—when I was still living in NJ, before my brother was born, before I moved to Shanghai and stuff. :D
I have a set of cousins, Dustin and Aaron, who live in the suburbs of NYC! (I think I told you about them; Dustin is the smart-and-I-know-it-too, holier-than-thou type and Aaron is sweet and sensitive and nice!) But since they live in NY and my family and I lived in NJ, we didn’t really get to see each other too often.
When we DID get together, though, we usually did it at Dustin/Aaron’s house. My other set of cousins (who were also living in NY at the time!), Samantha and Vanessa would also be there with their family and it’d be a great FAMILY REUNION OF SORTS WITH BARBEQUE AND ETC.
During those times, when we were younger, the six of us would play this SPOOKY HAUNTED HOUSE TOUR KIND OF GAME. It took place in the library/study room of my cousin’s house. What we would do is that we’d get the big, rolling chair in the study and have somebody sit down on it. (This was usually Vanessa because she got freaked out easily and IT WAS HILARIOUS, UFUFUFU). Meanwhile, another person would be there to push the person in the chair around. The rest of us would go into the study, shut off the lights, and hide. Once the game started, the VICTIM would be pushed into the study, and the people who were hiding WOULD POP OUT AND DO THEIR BEST TO SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF THE VICTIM. |DDD
The last time we played the game, Dustin actually bit Vanessa in the shoulder and uh… yeah. WE STOPPED PLAYING AFTER THAT.

Okay so if I'm allowed to bring manga into the equation pfpf I'd have to say... Olympos by Aki just because it was such a good read, I was really surprised! I don't know if it was one of my favorites but I read it a good three months ago and still remember it so that's a good sign!
I bought it because the art on the cover was super pretty and it had old names and seemed to focus on the greek gods so my interest was peaked but it's about Ganymede and Apollo and also has boys smooching in like the first five pages so I bought it actually thinking it'd be a yaoi ha ah a aha hh a but I didn't really care because like said the art was so
it wasn't a yaoi pfft, it was actually really really intriguing and the ideas it had were so original and interesting, especially concerning Apollo and Artemis and basically the nature of gods that I was blown away and I can tell the author has some really cool ideas and put a lot of thought into this so yeah uwu
I don't know if I'd put it among my favorite books...? But I did want to talk about it because I really liked it so there you go uwu
