Do not keep your mic on the same surface as your laptop when recording. The vibrations are horrible, no matter how good your mic is and you’ll end up abusing the noise reduction effect and sounding like a robot.
(You’d think I’d’ve learned this by now, but nope. At least I was trying to fix an old podfic, from when I had a crappy mic and it sort of matched)
