A while ago I answered some IG questions! Here are 2 of them featuring @smaaenart Podling Oc Velan who is Viara’s husband and their twins Kaj and Brin!

Now the Podling family has a fourth member in their daughter Neera. It’s a coincidence that Smaaenart suggested the name Neera because she was my favorite character in Disney’s Dinosaur. I swear that movie was my childhood omg!

Viara is super happy to have the family she’s always wanted and to share that with her father.

The second is on Kiel and Tau sharing a brain cell at the realization that Velan has kids. At the time both are surprised to know someone with kids. Idk if Cha’l and Shiyoon were expecting yet or if Kiel and Sammi had begun adopting. Regardless, Kiel and Tau are the most surprised lol

The saddest, sweetest pod you’ll ever meet....

This is Lienta (thank you to @the-crystal-fans-call for the name suggestion 💕), my new Podling OC- because there aren’t nearly enough podling OCs out there!

Unusually anxious and prone to melancholy, Lienta is a quiet soul. Too shy to partake in the partying most podlings enjoy, she dreams of a simple life, with a husband, many children and a happy home- but she’s had no such luck, yet. She works as a baker, and enjoys creating pretty and tasty pastries and breads. She loves children, and often babysits her sisters many (many, many- I HC that it’s not unusual for Podling families to be HUGE, with lots of babies) children. She’s often teased by her siblings for being so shy, and having never had a relationship (second part of my HC is that podling ladies marry and have kids pretty young, equivalent to late teens to early twenties usually) despite being an adult.

She was a childhood friend of Hup’s, growing up in the same village as him. She’s had feelings for him since they were kids, but he remains seemingly unaware of this, despite how obvious it is to everyone else. Her shyness and anxiety about rejection stop her from ever telling him, so she just pines and yearns in silence. Often, she’d make him cakes and pastries, and bring them to him while he was working at his job as a cook. That is, until one day- the day of the SkekShod and stew incident- she arrived late to find Hup gone, and everything in disarray. She returned home, sad and confused about what happened, and continued living her life and working in her bakery, not knowing of where her friend went or what adventures he was having, but hoping he’d one day return.

Her other likes include- gardening and growing flowers (any edible flowers will be used to decorate and flavour cakes and pastries she makes), and sewing and making clothing (her family and other Podlings in the village will often ask her to mend or make clothing for them). She has a sweet tooth, and enjoys eating pastries as much as she likes making them. She gets tired a lot, often getting burnt out after working too hard.

Happy New Year to everyone in 2021 (I’m still a few hours short in 2020 lol)

May I introduce to everyone me and @diasart2020 Pod Couple Viara x Velan!!!

Viara has finally found love and they are so cute! My sweet bean found herself a good man Velan belongs to diasart2020 and I can’t wait to share some sketches of these two when I can!

I added this to my IG but here are my Dark Crystal OC’s! They are so much fun to draw and destress with, I might do another IG ask and share some of the drawings again.

From left to right;

Fleur (Stonewood x Dousan but she inherited a lot of her father’s features): Adventurer, Bounty Hunter, and Sass for days.

Viara: the sweet bean and the levelheaded one of her friends.

Cha’l ( Stonewood x Dousan, Fleur’s older brother): He travels with the Sifan and loves causing mayhem with his best friend Kiel.

Kiel ( Sifa x Vapra): He goes by many names; Prankster, Sly-Guy, and Sifan Deviant.

I still need to work on their stories but I love them and I wanted to share them with you all.
