I think it is Darwin Awards season.
I was watching on demand Grey’s Anatomy, don’t judge I watch what I like, and saw a commercial for Gain detergent where the disclaimer on the bottom said As with all detergents keep away from children. It occurred to me that I saw a similar commercial for Tide where they had to inform parents that they should keep Tide Pods away from their children. WTF. If you truly do not know to keep chemicals away from your child then you really need to reconsider if you are responsible enough to have one.
It also made me think that warnings happen for a reason and the fact that this one is becoming more and more prevalent I feel like their should be more investigation into this. Have their been lawsuits filed? How many people should taste test a Tide Pod in order they can see the type of damage these things can do to their child? When I was growing up crayolas smelled like candy but we were told to not eat them and we listened.
I know that some people say children put everything in their mouths but that is why we limit their access to items that can KILL them, or at least most people who are not in competition for this year’s Darwin Award do so.
