this certainly isn’t a smart idea. kuruk’s been telling himself that over and over, ever since poe sent him the message. meeting in public this way, anywhere that he could be spotted in poe’s presence without arresting him, it’s risky to say the least. if he’s spotted he’ll have a lot of explaining to do. and if poe’s found out who kuruk is and is using this to try and corner him, it’s going to take a lot to fight his way out of it without backup.
but.. poe had insisted it was an emergency. and while kuruk can’t be sure what kind of emergency would have the pilot call for his help rather than his resistance friends, he doesn’t like thinking of leaving the man high and dry, either. not when he could genuinely be in danger of some kind. that’s just - impossible to even consider. so he shows up at the coordinates given - an alleyway that seems peaceful enough - in his civilian clothing, his hair tied back in a messy bun today rather than leaving it out. “what’s the emergency?” he asks as he approaches the pilot, eyes darting around to look for anything that could be a threat of some kind, anything that could’ve warranted poe asking him here today.
