Hip hip hooray it’s my birthday.
Or as they all say.
Even thought those happy feeling have all quite gone astray.
I don’t feel joy.
Quite frankly I feel destroyed.
Forever in a delay.
Hip hip hooray it my birthday
As I start to feel the cheer
My days to be sold
Are turning to gold
With my mom I hold so dear.
With my dad too.
Who is in a mood.
Turning sour like a stray.
[not giving away my age] years.
I now hold dear.
How I’ve seen the world “mature.”
Three hundred
Sixty
Five
Days.
How the meaning gone so astray?
Scuffle of a fae soft feet
Honeyed breath
Mead laden night
Your hose left upon the grass
Where the moonlight forgave our gasps
Lilac glow in your eyes
Each knowing the other could never
Be called "mine"
A poem about a lantern(?).
Things that hide fear your illuminating light
Yet why then does the moth from the night
Draw so freely close to your warm radiance
Why do tiny creatures from the dark
Find more comfort in a softly glowing heart
Than those who need it the most with their false aliases
A simple lantern, then why do I hate it?
A shadow feels more at home, with a glove-like fit.
