Poem #006: I'm Doing Things Again

i’m doing things again they talked about me felt like disclose to pretend uncomfort for me.

people said that just a lucky i have whatever they said, just being fuckin brave.

they talk about me again tak punya skill, gak tau diri they’ll try to kill me again call me Mr. Kennedy.

cause i know im to good to compare i am on my new level, please dont waste ur time for me.

strangers ask to me again why’d you dont feel lonely? dissa have a new boyfriend dont care, they dont pay me.

sitting down at my new territory di jalan arteri make a plan for new target immediately.

Freedom

Cotton candy clouds

Dance above the haze of town.

Old tales about his youth and

old men who reminisce on his “troubled boyhood”

-The two of us had so much fun-

fill the diner tonight.

 Now, we don’t serve beer,

not anymore

but everyone is drinking it

even the wait-staff.

Now that he’s gone,

 this town seems empty,

deserted. Even

the wind stands at attention

as we salute

as we lament.

Another young soldier

Man

       Husband

Father

        Friend

gone too soon.

 He was willing to die

but we weren’t willing

to let him go.

I never see the sunlight or dawn unless I must. We are not lovers. We do not yearn for each other’s touch. The brightness, the shy obstruction, I would happily live the rest of my days without her. Yes, darling, you are beautiful. Yes, sweetheart, you are beyond compare. You are loud and wild, but I’m doing just fine without your love.

The moon and I hold hands, kiss each other’s necks, run fingers across each other’s skin. She and I are pockmarked, ugly, but good god do we shine.

why do we sometimes go way too soon, one life, one heart a dream to reach the moon, why do we dream on what never can be, open my eyes, one. two. three.
