on an ideological level im pro complaining im pro self-pity and yet the the way people will complain on video game forums will completely baffle me. like oh they introduced a mechanic where you can spawn monster by pressing a button and the longer you press the harder the monsters. and people will complain that they're always pressing for too long and it makes the monsters too hard to kill and they expect 1. an immediate fix and 2. an apology from the ceo. like jesus christ dude

Deadfire is soooo fucking funny especially if you're playing as a godlike. The gods keep trying to kill Eothas a la megalithic Looney Tunes and keep fucking up and they're like "fuuuuuck we don't know what to dooooo maybe we should EAT our KIDS for POWER what do you think, Godlike Watcher? Not that we actually care about your opinion." Meanwhile the watcher has only just recovered from learning the world is gonna maybe end and also getting blown up a la volcano then tidal waved then getting reunited with their soul then passing out and waking up in an intense meeting of the central powers of the Deadfire and you're gonna hit them with the "Mind if I eat you?"
