Was it so easy to leave me behind?

Everything we built over time,

Now falling apart in front of my eyes.

It's not like I didn't see it coming;

I certainly saw the signs.

But I refused to believe,

That such fate could be mine.

How foolish could I be,

To have ignored this for so long?

I thought you loved me,

But I clearly was wrong.

With each falling brick,

You were slipping away.

Why did I have to meet you,

If you were never going to stay?

Believe

I was thrown into a dark zone

The darkness kept engulfing me slowly and slowly 

I was screaming

Reaching out for help

The more I tried

The deeper I sank

Suddenly from the bottom of my heart

Came a spur of belief

A belief that I am way more stronger

A roar of strength arose within me

The rays of hope coming out of my eyes

Led me to sunshine

Thinking To Overthinking

When I start to think,

It's like I take a dive,

Into my mind until I sink,

Then I have to thrive,

To return to the brink,

But there is a clock that is alive,

It goes like tick, tick, tick.

We have minutes only five,

Which can be lost just in a blink,

But we have to survive,

Or else we will begin to overthink,

Which is like a hive,

Of bees that can sting.

Strange

We live in a world,

Where people fear love,

This sounds unreal,

For people like me,

Who wonder how can love be scary,

When it makes all fears disappear.

Stitches

With bruised fingers,

We write in cursive,

On wounded pages ,

Of our life,

Trying to stitch them,

Leaving scars,

That tell our story.

The Sky

When I lift up my eyes,

I see a cloudy sky,

A sky that makes me wonder who am I,

There are invisible stars that spark,

And here I am sitting in a park,

Not knowing what I will be when I walk so far.

Why do we always have to know,

What we will be when older we grow.

I just want to know why,

We are all compelled to lie,

About things we do not know,

As anything to anyone we do not owe,

And there's no point to appear as wise,

As one day we are all just going to die,

And leave without saying goodbye.

Gaps

Empty spaces in between poetry,

Stare me in the eye,

Telling me not to hesitate,

From writing anything I like.

It is easy,

To fill it all up,

With layers of words that are cheesy,

But then,

What better will it be,

Than a road with potholes,

Filled with rain water.

But there's one more choice,

That I have,

To leave it with spaces in between,

As no river is completely full of lotuses,

Gaps are necessary,

To let the beauty of each flower shine bright.

In The Moment

Either the start or the end,

One is always merrier than the other,

But the moment in process that we spend,

Is the merriest no matter what.

Messy may be the hair after twirling,

But so lively is the moment,

Spent with our curly threads hanging in the air.

Clothes might be wet,

And sick might we get,

After walking in the rain,

But the smile in between will always be worth it.

Again the poem comes to an end,

Excited may I be,

But happier I was,

While writing this just a moment ago.
