Brain Curds are barely-edited fiction, poetry, or just about anything else - drafted in a day or less. Sometimes it takes a bit more refining...
Sew up my sleeves, I’m late for the bris
Running damn late but no busses were missed
Soon comes tomorrow and the broker is pissed
Check off - I’ve new skin in the game
Majority ruled, a minority town,
Walking down mem’ry a ghost on the hill,
All of my sobbing won’t make just a sound
But the bill, the bill, the bill is profound,
So cover my shame with a moth from a wallet,
Drown out the pain with a curse and a bullet,
Utter the same old, the same old profane
Too bad - I’ve new skin in the game
You’re losing, your nature, your face on the floor,
Your vices are doubling and you just bought more
Tossing and turning my bed for a door
I’m laughing, I’m crying, I’m building up score
What a joke is your buskin, your pity a slight,
Reviled by the city so you stroll out at night
Picking up pennies to pay for a bite (of my quarters)
Thumb back - I’ve new skin in the game
