Gum In My Hair
By: Me (rattleysworld)
I read a poem one time that said childhood friends, at their core, are "fatefully significant and necessary." Something about how the event of growing up together is so effectual that it keeps those people tied together. I dont remember who wrote the poem, and I havent been able to find it since,
But i do remember that onions give you headaches. And that you dont like ice in your drinks. And that you like tomatoes best when sliced - on a plate - with salt and pepper.
I dont remember who wrote the poem, and I haven't been able to find it since, but i do remember your phone password, and that your favorite flowers are tulips, and the names of all of your brothers, whom I actually still talk to. I don't want to be stuck to you like this. Each piece I remember is like gum in my hair.
And I think you still have one of my sweatshirts.
Apology
I am back after a long break, I have had nk poetry inspiration for so long and I still have none. So, I'm here, I'm hopeful having the app will inspire me to create but I was hoping to come back with something great
Does anyone have any advice for like... poets-block?
I'm having no issues with other kinds of writing, research papers, story writing (I DM For d&d) but when it comes to poetry all my thoughts just 🕳.
Its starting to get really frustrating, so if anyone has any advice on how to get through it, I'd appreciate that so much.
This has to be the weirdest poem I written with writers block..
"Shivers down my spine burst my vertebrae like the bones of sardines between fingers pressure crumbling into a firm paste"
