Okay I just gotta say. I just started watching Person Of Interest and I can’t help but fall in love with it. I’m still half way through season one so ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE IF IM GIVEN SPOILERS BUT. Eeeeeeeee can I just say;

I love the dynamic between Harold and John. Is it mostly strictly professional? Yes. However do they clearly care about each other a lot? HECK yes. I think the part I love most is that generally they call each other Finch and Reese (their preferred last names) but when they’re getting really concerned it’s like they default to first names without realising. Especially Finch, the number of times I’ve seen this guy usually say “Mr. Reese” but the moment something happens and he suspects that his partner’s life is in danger, he immediately starts calling him John and it just. TOUCHES my heart. The fact that when John is shot by Snow’s partner and he asks Finch to just forget about him and turn back, Finch just GETS THERE FASTER and freaking saves him. I LOVE that. I absolutely love their dynamic to the moon and back. It’s just so heartwarming idk what to say.

I haven’t seen that much yet but the fact that Finch, despite being the world’s most private person, is slowly letting Reese in, letting him see the vulnerable parts of him, it’s just so nice. Him getting emotional when they’re about to get revenge for the medical company’s sins, him recommending something from the cafe menu before leaving, him buying Reese an entire flat. Im just loving it. Of course I don’t love as much the fact that Reese is now investigating him anyway and pretty much invading his privacy and that’s probably gonna be a point of conflict between he two further on in the show but RIGHT NOW I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

I gotta say, season 3 episode 5 has been my favourite episode of all time. There is just SO MUCH in here that I need to make a whole rant post about it.

1. SAMEEN SHAW BACKSTORY YALLLLL

2. Shaw gets made by a 10-year-old using counter-surveillance tactics (HEJDJEJDIRKJFI)

3. Said 10-year-old reminds Shaw that she has FEELINGS

4. Finch says “On the contrary, Ms Shaw, I think you finally got the job.”

5. Oh also Shaw bugged Finch’s library

6. Oh ALSO Finch has adopted a new 10-year-old.

7. Simmons gets beat up by Reese (been waiting for that for so long)

8. Everyone (the viewers) THINKS that Carter is getting backstabbed by Laskey only to find out that she’s known ALL ALONG and was just gathering enough intel to get him locked up (SERIOUSLY YOU CANT NOT LOVE THAT WOMAN)

9. LASKEY WORKS FOR CARTER NOW!!!!!!

10. Finch accidentally listens to a tape of a woman moaning on a bed that’s creaking periodically (that was entertaining)(probably my favourite part actually)

11. Reese terrifies a Russian with corn syrup (legend)

12. Shaw transfers blood to herself from YOGAROV

13. FINCH SMILES BEFORE HE BLOWS UP A BUILDING!!!!! (I rewatched that a couple of times honestly Harold is my favourite boy of all boys)

14. It was honestly just a completely fantastic episode

Like can we just talk about how completely awesome this episode was and how much I NEED Gen to make more appearances in the show (Gen is the 10-year-old btw). Also how Shaw is basically just in it for the dog aka Bear. Like. This is so perfect. This show is so goddamn perfect.

HI SO I JUST FINISHED SEASON 1 EPISODE 19 AND I AM SO SO SO HAPPY but also kind of weirded out because wtf

Okay main takeaways:

See I could totally understand Carter and her reluctance to work with John and Harold anymore but when the FBI came knocking and asked about John, she didn't give him up even a little bit and that made me SO HAPPY like you are my role model and there's still hope that you will still be in league with my other role models. AND THEN HER SON GETS KIDNAPPED AND JOHN GOES ALL CRAZY NOOOOOO NO ONE SHOULD HURT CARTER'S KID and he just like. Busts into the apartment and rescues both Taylor and Don Moretti and gets them outta there and ohhhhhhfodighdf the reunion of Carter and her son is just. so heartwarming. And that's where the episode ended so I really hope that Carter feels better about John now, especially since the FBI guys said he's dangerous and she doesn't know who to trust anymore. God have I mentioned yet that I LOVE Joss Carter? She is my ideal woman and I love her so so so so much.

Anyway yes back to Elias okay wtf he's in a cell now, but he still managed to kill off Don and his son (after all the trouble John and Joss went to to save him) which makes me think okay maybe there are still police that work for him? I'm not very bright I'm sorry but SHEESH what is up with this man he gives me the creeps. And even more so because this episode had flashbacks from his life and it just creeped me out even more because this kid. Like yeah Elias as a kid I could understand but later what he turned into? I need more of his backstory because this guy is so damn confusing. And especially his obsession with his mother because he kept bringing her up while Don was his hostage? Like what was that. Anyway yeah too much ranting for a couple of episodes so I'm off now byebye

I AM SAD because I finished episode 17 and itjejnfrknfrjf it was so sad, firstly I had to see John getting frozen to death in the back of a truck or something, WITH A BABY!!

And then I had to see him admit to carter that he told Elias where Moretti is and Carter getting upset and cutting him off :c it’s not fair!!!!!!!

I thought it was gonna be Finch, Reese, Carter, and Fusco :c this episode was a very sad one aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

There is so much hate on the Person of Interest Facebook page (I know FB is rightfully a dirty word here) by idiot straight people I just can’t get my head around it. 

I mean, sure there are some that are among the brainwashed on this poor planet that are quoting the ‘bible’, or whatever, to justify their intolerance. And some that are just clearly bigots, and oddly disgusted by two women kissing. And those that just seem oddly disgusted by intimacy in general (though apparently people getting shot and killed every episode is just fine). But it’s the idiots that are saying they have no clue what the relationship has to do with the show that is leaving me frustrated. 

They think the episode came out of nowhere and was just for ratings O_o

That it was pushing an agenda O_O

That it had nothing to do with the foundation of the show - the machine >_<

They are truly baffled about why the other characters were acting strange in the episode - thinking it was bad writing - and confused about how forced the intimacy seemed, saying it felt out of place. Do they not get it?!! It was MEANT to feel kind of out of place in the context of the show, as it was a bloody fantasy in Shaw’s head! I watched it with a chuckle. I mean, there was bloody porno music going on in the background ffs! The plate smashing. The whole way it started, with Shaw suddenly coming on strong, and Root just going along with it knowing how messed up Shaw was! I half expected a dude with a deep voice to start singing “Let’s get it oooon...” when Shaw went after Root. It was obviously not quite right. But these idiots just missed the whole point. 

They missed the link to the machine and the bigger picture as they were too busy getting their knickers in a twist about two women kissing, and it just makes me laugh, and then feel kind of sad.   

They were switching off, walking out, feeling disgusted ...by nothing more than two people kissing in an exaggerated version of events in somebody’s tortured mind, on a TV show!!! 

I feel so sorry that Sarah’s insanely great performance, and the speech just before Shaw shot herself, was lost on them. I feel so sorry that all they seemingly want is endless episodes of John mumbling whilst looking off into the distance with a pained expression, and shooting people in the knee. I mean wow ...they want episode after episode of just Harold and Reese wanking on about numbers. Apparently, throwing some women and a bit more plot into the mix just melts their tiny little minds.  

Ugh. I shouldn't be bothered by stupid people, or bigots, but I feel rankled. 

This show is wasted on them. Hopefully we’ll get a Root and Shaw spin-off on Netflix (or similar) so they can grumble from the sidelines, and continue to rock back and forth with their bibles and pictures of Reese looking like he’s about to take a giant shit, ruminating about the good old days of the show they just didn’t quite fully understand.

EDIT: Don’t get me wrong, I love Reese, but there had to eventually be more to the show. And can we talk about how many people thought Reese and Shaw should be a thing?! What the holy heck? Just no! There’s nothing in their scenes together to ever suggest that! Ever!! Keep your straight agenda out of my eyeball line.

okay but do you know what makes me mighty salty?? its the fact that people in my general vicinity of humans are gonna see root/shaw as like another lgbt opportunity forced down their throats because they are so simple minded that they dont understand things like axis ii personality disorders and wont even care to give the complexity of root and shaw’s relationship a real thought because it’s two women and they “dont believe in sin” so it like stops their brain from functioning

Person of interest is too Finch and Reese heavy this season. I know that has been the model in the past (its always annoyed me), they are the two center characters and the others kind of revolve around them and enter and exit randomly as the story requires. But I guess this season I was expecting more Root as the machine's interface vs Martine as Samaritan's interface. Sort of a dueling snipers scenario. Shaw working with both Finch and Reese but Root enlisting her help more often. Instead we get Finch acting like a petulant child, Reese is the rebellious teenager. Shaw is pretty much like whatever, where's Bear, you guys and your drama can stay over there I have my guns and a nice criminal side job. Root is more enigmatic and invisible than ever but every now and then checks in on Shaw (under increasingly flimsy circumstances). Martine has only been in the premier so far [though not gonna lie I did mistake the DEA chick for her]. Person of Interest could become the Root, Shaw and Carter show (i'm not familiar with Zoe, haven't caught up yet) with Reese tagging along now and again as the secondary mayhem twin and I would be perfectly ok with that.
