What would you rate the supergirl movie? I’ve only seen bad reviews😔 it makes me a bit nervous but I should definitely see it before letting other peoples opinions sway me

I’m totally biased but I’d say 9/10 on an emotional level, and 8/10 if I’m being super critical of it with my film school eye.

I totally understand the bad reviews making you nervous, they made me a tad nervous, but I hope you went to see it! (And if you have let me know your thoughts.)

I think that men have unfortunately done what they often do with female led movies and purposefully held it to a different standard.

It’s a comic book movie! They’re never perfect. There are moments where the pacing is a little off, and not every shot is breath taking cinema, but Milly is nothing short of phenomenal in the role and I think they got her dynamic with Ruthye near perfect.

There are lots of things to love about the film so please go get the pleasure of seeing it on the big screen if you haven’t already.

How they deal with things that don't go to plan. Frustration is one of those emotions that has a wide range of responses. And I don't necessarily judge that but it definitely says a lot about a person on how they deal with frustrating circumstances.

🌿Describe your favorite outfit.

For comfy clothes it would be my super soft teal sweatpants with either a brewery shirt i got that's weirdly extra long and not usable for anything other than a sleep shirt or an oversized sweatshirt I got from Boxed Lunch that has Belle reading and says "My Weekend is Booked".

For fancy/work I have been getting buttondown shirts from MorningWitch for a couple years now and love thier patterns. Specifically they have a magnolia and beetle pattern that I really like the colors for and just so happen to go with a lot of my other clothes. The shirt can be dressed up or dressed down pretty easily. I especially like to wear it with a plain sweater or sweatshirt over it and then some really comfy cargo/sweat/dress pants that Target had for a bit that has a dark grey wool and light brown twill fabrics that both go really well with the shirt.

💌Do you talk to yourself?

I do. I talk to everything. My cat, my furniture, my games, my cooking, and myself. The words just leave my mouth and happen. Very little filter for anything 😅

Been listening to Winona Fighter's album, My Apologies to the Chef, on repeat since I saw them in concert earlier in the month. Last song to come up was I'M IN THE MARKET TO PLEASE NO ONE which is excellent and everyone should check out their whole abum which is chalk full of garage rock bangers.

🌸 Best compliment you ever receive

This is a tough one. I value the compliments I get for different reasons related to various aspects of my life that they pertain to.

But I think one that really still sits with me is in a creative writing college elective, the professor complimented my skill with dialogue which came from the work I had put into writing realistic sounding dialogue for personal writing projects since middle school. So it felt very validating from the aspect of being a "gifted kid" and this was really the first time I felt a compliment had come from something I had put extended effort into.

And then also because the year prior I had been denied a seat to a voluntary writing course by my Dean because "creative writing isn't important to engineering". So it was nice as a non-english major to stand out in something.
