heyyyyy reminder for other cane users.
don't forget that cane tips need to be replaced.
i've been using my cane for almost two years on a near daily basis and i JUST switched out the tip and

the new tip versus the old tip. i'm not sure how clear it is but, YEAH, there's like. half a millimeter of tread left on the old tip, if that
the replacement was LITERALLY 2 dollars. i bought two to justify the four dollar shipping but. TWO BUCKS.
i had noticed that i was having slipping issues on linoleum recently, but i did not realize how bad the issue had gotten until the new tips came so. PLEASE check your cane treads and if they're notably worn out PLEASE get yourself a new tip they're SO cheap and the grip i get on the new one is INSANE
please don't forget to replace your cane tips!
mads mikkelsen’s hannibal lecter throwing himself full body against a door in Mizumono, covered in blood, disheveled, knife in his hand. men are so fine my head hurts
Sanji vs. Land
One of my favorite Sanji headcanon's is that he has the best sea legs of the crew, tied w/ Jimbei after he joins. But he also absolutely has the WORST land legs when they make landfall.
I think this because, prior to Kamabakka, the longest period he spent on actual land seems to be starving on a rock with Zeff.
I totally buy that Germa likely had some sort of stabilizing tech on their snails, definitely in medical and engineering areas. You need a measure of stability in your evil laboratory.
But any ocean-going vessel does need to actually move with the sea. Otherwise, it won't move at all. So, I think other areas were less stabilized.
Thus, Sanji went from weird snails that swim the seas, to cruise ship, to trauma rock, to a restaurant ship before joining the Straw Hats. Moving on a ship likely feels more natural to him than on land.
I think he has trained himself to adjust pretty quickly, as a necessity, and also because the Mosshead definitely would call it out. But even still, his first few steps on any island are not as graceful as his usual stride.
Okay, ramble done.
Saw the sonic 3 trailer are you telling me the movie based on Sonic Adventure 2 is Not anti-military??? No anti-authority theming here?? Nothing?? The game where a kid gets gunned down? Where Shadow’s grief and hate for humanity is BECAUSE of the military?? Where Sonic runs from the cops and is consistently annoyed at their existence?
Some fans of the PJO show will jump and accuse others of racism for simply hoping that characters (THAT ARENT EVEN CAST AS YET) are book accurate, but they never want to acknowledge how removing Percy's darker look and casting a blond with blue eyes as Percy is rooted in racism.
Saying that Percy being blond with blue eyes makes sense because "he's a son of Poseidon, so he should look like a surfer boy" is dumb. Percy is not a surfer boy. He is not the all-American boy.
Percy is a character that has been unfairly judged and mistreated by authority figures and other kids for most of his life. He would not be treated like that if he was seen as an "easy-going surfer boy." Easy-going surfer boys don't get treated like that.
The lighter features that he is given in the TV show are being used as a way to portray him as "the perfect hero," and they don't seem to realize how rooted in racism that is. Nothing is wrong with a hero being written as blond with blue eyes, but erasing a character's darker looks in favor of lighter features is racist. Someone once said they no longer care for Book Percy's looks because of how much they love Walker's "blond, more laid-back-looking" Percy. People are choosing to erase book Percy in favor of the "all-American boy" because, god forbid, the hero looks a bit "rough around the edges." Also, I'm not saying that book Percy isn't white. It's pretty clear that Rick intended for book Percy to be seen as white. I'm just saying that trying to erase book Percy, who has features that don't protect him from being labelled a "no-good troublemaker" (something a lot of races could relate to), and trying to replace him with a blond surfer boy who is far less likely to be labelled "a hopeless case" is rooted in racism, and nothing is going to change my mind about that.
