Did anyone read an old point crime series called Lawless and Tilley (1997/1998) by Malcolm Rose, about a detective partnership in South Yorkshire?
Brett Lawless was a DI who had an interest in solving crimes with a scientific background, relying a lot on evidence rather than intuition.
Clare Tilley was a DS who partnered with him, who often understood the criminal mind better and used her intuition during cases.
It was a really good series and I was always rather taken by Clare and her partnership with Brett both solving crimes and outside of work.
I am currently writing a piece of fiction following on from the last story for my own pleasure as I didn't like the ending, but I wondered if anyone else remembered it or would be interested in reading it? I draw on a lot of references from previous books, so a knowledge of the books is helpful but you can possibly get by without it.
