I’ve pretty much defended MVP’s opponent selection up to this point because he’s fighting the same quality of fighter that 90% of MMA fighters fight in the first 8 or so fights of their career (Rainey and Burrell were good opponents imo). That being said, I have no idea what he’s doing facing Charlie Ontiveros (6-3) this Friday (Oct. 23rd) at Bellator 144. I assume they had a fight lined up for him but the original opponent pulled out before they could announce it and they felt he needed to stay on the card.

So I found out yesterday that Bellator's MVP and Glory's Raymond Daniels actually competed against one another in point Karate. I don't know what style MVP trains in but Daniels is a Kenpo and Shotokan blackbelt. From the Irish Open in 2011.
