I didn’t do anything to interfere with their relationship, I somewhat supported it in fact. Them being on a bumpy road in their relationship right now is in no way my fault. Now, I may have been mentioned but I didn’t cause it! I’m just doing what I have to do to protect myself, the circus, and my members. Any and all unintended consequence are not my fault.

I’m sorry for everything. I shouldn’t have lashed out at you. You were completely right about what you said. I could have hurt the people I care about because of my foolish decisions.

I’m also sorry for what I’m about to say, but I think it’s best if we stay broken up. I’ve come to realize that what I felt for you wasn’t really love… it was obsession. I wasn’t seeing you for who you truly are.

I don’t know if you’ll ever forgive me, but I hope one day you find someone who truly sees you and loves you for who you are.

(🎩Caine's birthday party had been a sorely needed breath of fresh air for 🎀Gangle. It'd taken her mind off of things, lifting the dread and regret from her shoulders -- for a little while, at least. So when she returned to her room and picked up the letter, she was all but prepared for everything to come crashing back down.)

(Nearly an hour since, and she's still collapsed in her bed, combing over every sentence through a fountain of tears. Rushing thoughts and emotions come together and create a volatile cocktail. 🎀Gangle understands, but still finds herself devastated. She knows neither of them are at fault, but fails to rationalize it as anyone's but her own. Trapped in a whirlpool of self-pity and loathing -- mostly due to her inability to pull herself back together -- there's nothing she can do but wait out the storm...

But eventually, with a heavy heart and a splitting headache, she drags herself to her desk and gathers a pen and paper.)

To Evil Ribbit,

Thank you for understanding my concerns and reaching out with your letter. I know it wasn't easy, and I wanna try and show my solidarity by writing one too. That, and if I tried telling you all of this in-person, I'd just start crying all over again. Seriously though, you've grown a lot since we first met, and it shows through your decision, if that makes any sense at all. I want you to know I genuinely enjoyed the time we spent together, okay? So please don't beat yourself up about it. About any of this.

Yeah, it went well... really well... It feels kind of surreal, I guess- well, that's how everything feels around 🎪here, but still. Part of me's just so surprised it wasn't a prank. I kept looking over my shoulder the whole way there and back, in case 🐰Jax was hiding around... The dinner itself was really nice, though! 🐍Her dress was really pretty, a-and she said she liked mine, too... hehehehehehe >w<

... Still, I can't stop thinking about what might happen tomorrow. If she'll just start avoiding me and acting like it never even happened... I-I know there's the stereotype of the anxious girl who goes, "we went on a date but what if she was just being friendly??" But... wh-when I asked why she took me out with her, all she said was, "I wanted to." I don't know if I can... if she really... I-I don't know. I'm just scared of getting my hopes up, I guess...
