Mirabelle was never one to have friends with the lifestyle she grew up in so whenever she made friends, she tried her best to make sure they were alright whenever she got the chance to talk to them. She was the happiest being in their presence but she normally found a reason to end the friendship over simple flaws, afraid of them doing it first. It was rare for her to find common ground and making time on both ends in general. It was a bad habit that she was trying her best to kick.
But when it came to Zach, it was easy to find a nice balance of talking and seeing one another within their friendship. Weirdly enough, she felt a connection with him that made her hope their friendship would last a lifetime. So, being able to hang out with him again, it was nice for her and made it easy for her to fall fast asleep after they caught up with one another.
She didn’t know what woke her up, which wasn’t unusual as most of her nightmares were forgotten as soon as her eyes opened. She rarely remembered a night that she had a peaceful sleep until the morning. So Mira walked around looking for Zach to see if he was sound asleep like she was supposed to be but when she didn’t find him, a voice in her mind told her to check the roof so that’s how she ended up there, finding him.
Hearing his response to her question had her look up for a moment, seeing the twinkles of the stars before her eyes landed back to him, his smile made her smile back. “Nah,” she responded before making her way to sit near him, “sleep isn’t my best friend so this is normal,” she huffed as she looked at the stars again, “but I guess with a night like this, who needs sleep, right?” The redhead chuckled as she glanced over to the boy, curious about what was going through his mind. But did she want to ask and maybe cross a line by accident?
