Samael laughed at the mention of anaesthesia. "Now, why...would I even have those things here, Doctor?" An arm was now brought across Faust's back, and Samael ushered him in deeper within the lab. "Just look at this--" He brought them to a room that was otherwise empty, save for a twisted-looking experiment. An angel; her wings had been plucked of all her feathers, but the bones were still there. She was also missing her limbs! "Isn't she beautiful?"
He didn’t have to ponder long as to why Samael didn’t have them.
The arm across his back felt strangely like the gate that camebehind sheep to guide them into the slaughterhouse, but Faustsaid nothing, even as the quite frankly insulting display wasbrought to his attention. An Angel? here? And in such condition…
"Knowing you, she hasn’t fallen… does Michael know about this?"Those pesky ‘two souls’ he mentioned often were once again atodds with each other. On one hand, this was a patient, or aspecimen, rather. Something to pick apart in a laboratory onbehalf of science, ethics and morality be damned.
On the other hand, this was an Angel. this was a being fewhumans ever saw, such beauty mangled for no other reasonthan Samael’s enjoyment, the doctor was sure. It slowly beganto dawn on him. This wasn’t a regular laboratory at all.
This was a medical torture chamber. And Faust had walked right in.
