you know how a lot of people can imagine things in their head? I've never been to imagine things in my brainspace-- most of the time if I want to visualize something I have to draw it? I have a lot of things where feeling and touch substitute for things I can't remember/decide on visually? For stress relief when I literally can't get my hands to line up with what I'm focused on, I'll usually put on a song and scribble out the feeling of the song into a physical visual? Idk if that counts 1/2

2/2 but like... When it comes to people, I associate them with feelings and touches (like I can vividly remember the feeling of my boyfriend's shirt even if I can't really remember his face?) So Sight and Sounds sometimes end up as physical touches/feelings in my memory instead and most of the time if I'm drawing stuff usually ends up better if I just sort of free hand it with a pen and focus less on what I'm drawing and more on how the drawing "feels" physically to draw??? man its weird

I “feel” lines, so that much I understand, and my own visualization, I feel, is very weak, so when I draw, I draw to what “feels” right. It’s strange, and I’ve actually asked artists before, “Hey, do you feel the lines?” I’m not sure if that’s synesthesia or not but... But I also think I must experience this differently from you as well. Like, I can’t draw how music feels to me, and I can visualize things, even if it’s not very strong.

you tell 'em. i'm demisexual, and just off the top of my head i can remember PLENTY of times in media where a guy doesnt act interested in sex and gets basically called out for being gay/queer. the fact that people out there can think that ace people don't get called gay/queer astounds me, because to The Straights, anything not cis hetero MUST be gay/queer. im behind anyone in the whole community taking up the term queer. it brings us together. stop trying to exclude people, anons!
