Pokédad 60!

It’s a long one this week!

I’m too lazy to dig up the original pokedad post but I have an update:

He texted me to say he got a new backpack for work. I think he’s level 39 or 40 now? Still going strong. He took up jogging and now does a pokemon go jog every morning.

I was in my room and my dad called me from downstairs and told me there was a farfetch’d outside so I finally got one!!!

This one is a couple of weeks late! I started work at Robot Chicken again + fell behind from my holiday travels. 

Like I said in an earlier post, I’m going to keep posting on tumblr, but I’ll be adding some extra content to the Pokédad instagram account. Look for polls, contests, ama’s, and pictures of my cat. Follow @pokedadcomic please!

Hey, glad to see you responding again. I'm actually the anon who told you that I found a shiny magikarp and was thinking of not evolving it yet. Well, I found another one so you can be sure that I'll be evolving it in the future. ;) I hope your dad is fine and has found a group to raid with. I hope he managed to get the legendary birds and the beasts. Or at least Zapdos. I hope that he is still enjoying the game and I hope that you'll get to play the game again soon. :)

I’m actually a bit out of touch with my dad’s current pokemon ambitions. I’ll try to get an update from him soon tho. He’s definitely still enjoying the game, as far as I’m aware though.

I’ve personally given up on playing it for now. My lifestyle doesn’t really work with it? When I had a job downtown this time last year, it was easy to play a lot, but not so much now. I’m also kind of a ‘one game at a time’ kinda person, and right now Fire Emblem Heroes OWNS my mobile gaming life.

Today is my dad’s poke-versary and he texted me to tell me about it. And yes, he did make level 35 before his anniversary and he was super pumped about it.

Also, he still lacks a squad to take down raid bosses but can take out tier 3/4 on his own. He almost got a 27k Arcanine on his own, but kept coming up about 30 seconds short.

Dad was asking for gift ideas ‘cause my bday is coming up and I said I kinda like those subscription box things, where you get a themed package every month or whatever.

And having no context for what they’re normally like, my dad asked if there are ‘self protection’ themed boxes

and I’m just dying because honestly if there’s a ‘pepper spray of the month club’ out there he’s almost certainly going to sign me up and I will be 0% surprised.
