First off, I want to thank everyone again for their replies on my previous post. It was really nice to see others facing similar struggles and how they handled it.
I've done a lot of thinking, and here's some ideas brewing in my brain.
Rather than forcing faith, I want to explore some concepts I've read about and just lean into the idea that even if it's just the placebo effect, I can use it to create a new mental structure for myself. A healthier one.
To that end, I really do want to delve more into chaos magic. The gnosis state is a bit intimidating, but the theories I've read so far fit easily into what I know of the world so far.
On the personal end, I have toyed around with the idea of having certain Pokemon become my personal representatives of various concepts. I remember the cute post I saw about the brain sharks (will tag it when I get home) which hunt for harmful thoughts and eat them and using Sharpedo for that. Basically like self help/inspiration images a la Courage Wolf but with Sharpedo.
Self Care Sharpedo if you will.
Other ideas include something for Quagsire to represent simple pleasures because it's honestly a Pokemon that brings me joy just to look at. This includes Wooper.
And finally having Absol become more or less a guardian of my anxiety given it's nature of warning people abot disaster.
I'd eventually like three more guardians like this to make it a total of 6 like the games, but nothing immediately jumps to mind. My other favorites are Mightyena, Sableye, Honchkrow, and Swampert. Basically doing digital memes for now. I lean towards Dark types as a whole, but I don't really think of them as evil.
