Gathering about my conflicts towards Money Magick.
Since my thoughts became heavier this season, when it comes to this subject, I want to write my feelings, obsessions, reflections and difficulties towards Money Magick and what it's like to, really, struggle when it comes to search for results.
This post may not speak about TES paganism today, but certainly I will recopilate what I have been speaking with my gods and goddesses. In order to help myself. Enjoy!
(Please, feel free to reach me out if you need me to talk about something in particular)
What's Money Magick?
When we talk about the term "money magick" we are referring to a certain magic branch that it's directly associated with economy, work, money, wealth, success and abundance in our physical and spiritual realm.
Money Magick it's about performing rituals and casting spells to gain, maintain, create and multiply our wealth. Through our work, luck, opportunities and more. It's not about just "making money", it's about to step into our financial power and abundance nature. In order to develop our life, into it's greatest good.
It's about finding a way through money. Working in a traditional job, being an independent worker, Freelancer, develop a business, etc.
It's about to create a way of success, through tools. Understanding the complexities of capitalism, breaking through it thanks to Magick.
It may be complicated, because this subject is so extense and chaotic that, sometimes, we struggle. Because, if we don't understand our financial and monetary reality... fully accepting it, it's not easy to change it.
You know, thanks to one of my Daemon Kings, I found last year that, when it comes to Wealth, money it's not the ultimate destinations. For money is just another tool, a way, an open door to reach something else. When you perform Money Magick, you are literally opening a door to reach something else. You don't want money, you want what you can reach through money. And that amplifies and expands your perspective when it comes to cast spells and understating your current level of life.
We, humans, need money because we can reach things, level, status, health and guarantee a life thanks to it. So the coin or the dollar it's the key and the door at the same time, that's why it's certainly complicated perform those kind of rituals, at least for me.
We think about wealth and we think about objects, services and activities: pay bills, pay the rent, get food, get certain kinds of status and pride, travel, pay for medical attention, pay for our studies, pay a house, buy clothes and build a life inside and outside the system.
We, usually, think that getting out of the system is when you life free from the expectations and the way that the world is made. But in order to, really, breaking through our limitations is understanding the first point: wealth is more than just money. Wealth is about how you will use that money.
We enter now, in a new space: we need to find a way to multiply and expand our money. Reaching out for a way to awake the spirit of money and heal the emotional and financial wounds that we may have when we think about our limitations.
Money Magick is about transform and trascend our limitations. And that's the tough part, because in order to change your reality... you need to accept it fully. Then, you reveal against it.
What we can expect from Money Magick?
The "K" in the word "Magic" means, literally, Ritual Magick. Perform a certain method to obtain certain results. And we can expect is to understand those parts:
• What we need/want
• Why we need/want it
• What is holding us back, from our goals (lack of money, lack of job, bad luck, debts, insecurities, etc.) emotionally, physically and energetically.
• What we want to achieve, when we get the money. How we want to invest it.
Money is about investment, growing and developing.
First of all, we need to understand how our line of work, works. For example. I work as a freelancer and sell my services and rituals into a comunity. Through what? Through internet. That means, that my office is literally social media. I need, not just understand and learn about my magic. But also understand and learn the rules of social media, content creation, digital marketing and promotions.
Second thing, we need to know all about our actual tools. For example: I got a phone, I know how to design and reach my public. In order to work and get my payments.
Third thing, we need to figure it out... in what things we are going to invest the money. And then, it's when it comes the term "Wealth and Abundance".
Investment: candles, light, wifi, a phone, herbs, books, knowledge, food, magic tools and time.
Multiplication: offers, multiple clients, digital products that can sell automatically. I am talking about, finding multiple sources of money. Not just one. But a few.
Open Roads: unblock good luck, attract good customers and people who can recommend you, different opportunities inside the line of work or with another line of work.
Develop of a new Mindset: work through your fears, anxieties, insecurities, panics, concepts about money, health, wealth, investment, etc. Hacking your brain and subconscious, in order to really allow the energy that you are casting into the exact point when you want/need it. That also works on your own self esteem and health. Because , everything is about the mind and the own concepts/perspectives of reality. So, in order to manipulate your reality through magick... you need to have an open mind and fully believe, that your goals are rational and possible to be reached.
Learn how to do things at the right time: having a schedule it's the first thing. For example: every new moon or crescent moon I will perform a High Money Magick Ritual. Every Thursday I will cast a spell for abundance, opening roads and wealth, etc. But, first of all: I need to have a schedule for my own work and my own plans. With a structured mind and life, your energy and magick will be structured. Think of an Earth Sign and you will wickly understand. In order to the rivers of abundance to flow, the earth needs to have a direction and a line, where the water can flow and fly. It's a balance.
In my experience, I expect to do a hard fucking work. Because I have so many insecurities about my wealth and my own potential, the work through this changes is like climbing a mountain. Since I suffer from many illness, I never had in my life a sense of order and structure. The positive part is that I always manifested what I wanted to live and experience, through years of years without even noticing, I really reached out everything that I always needed and wanted! The bad part is that, I couldn't develop a good financial and earthly structure. Bad sleeping timing, getting late to almost every place, not finishing my tasks in time, initiating a project or activity and never finishing it or leaving. And, today at my age, I need to restart my economical and financial life from zero. Literally, creating a business from zero in order to really gain what I want and need to achieve in life.
For I never really took my time to understand the complexities of being an adult. And yes, my Magick works, but why it doesn't work with me? Because, my mind never was in the correct space.
Today, taking with Lord Sheogorath, I found out that I never wanted to be on this earth. That's why I reject everything that it comes with it. I reject work, money, investing time, finishing my tasks, etc. Not just because of being a lazy person. But because, I really don't like this earth. It's too heavy, too complicated, too much for me and I really don't have the confidence inside of me to do better, to be better and to get what I deserve, want and need. Simply as that! So, when I reject myself and I reject the whole world... I am rejecting to Do, to Give and to Recieve.
• Do: things towards my job and developing my financial status. Studying financial stuff, learning how to invest, finding new jobs, creating content, etc.
• Give: good words to myself and to the world, being thankful to what the earth and the money has given me, being thankful for all of the times that my Magick actually worked.
• Recieve: the results of my hard work.
My own insecurities have made me a lazy person. A person that can sleep almost 12 to 16 hours in a day. A person that, really doesn't move too much towards what she wants. And that is not healthy. I am not going to say "that's not what a responsible and adult person does". I am going to say "that is not what you truly want in life". Because I want it, but with the years I became irresponsible with things. And this is one of my first steps to change it from the root. Like, really cutting off the shit, for once.
I always spend my life, imagining it and not fully living it. So I am not a truly hard working person. I am, in fact, super lazy. And that's it's because I don't want to be on this earth. I consider that I suffered a lot, I suffered too much and that I don't really need to be here and adapt. I have terrible problems with adaptation and taking charge of my life. Since I am a kid, I have problems with that. And for that I can be prideful, my dad always pointed me that I needed to adapt in life. One way or another. And that is a thing that, until today, it provokes me kind of rage. After all that happened to me, why am I the one who needs to adapt? And that is when Magick came into my life.
But, oh, surprise! Same rules applies to Magick when it's your current work. So, will need to work through my own mindset.
If you also have problems with that, I will write you a simple guide in order to start working through it. We can do it together. Just remember that, you are not alone and that you can really change your own life, head and opportunities. For what you want, it may be not as far as it seems...
• Understating your actual situation is essential: what are your insecurities? How is your financial life right now? Do you have a job? What kind of job and how it works the payments and the hierarchy?
For example: I am my own boss and, at the same time, I am an employee of the ones who pay me for my rituals, works, books, readings and guidance.
I am the leader of my own company and the one who is reached out. So I need to do things in time. Not just for me, but also for my customers. Giving the best and exact results that they want it. As such as a lawyer, doctor, therapist, etc.
• Understating how Money Magick works: this part is, well, the practice and the study of the subject itself.
We have different kinds of rituals, such as:
1. Opening Roads.
2. Unblock Opportunities.
3. Changing the mindset in order to learn how to manifest reality, co-creating it.
3. Calling Clients, reach fame and recognition in your line of work, company, etc.
4. Get a raise.
5. Achieve a promotion at work.
6. Fertilize your own business, calling new clients and being known for your abilities. Making it truthful, magnetic and attractive for other people.
Every single one of this will be successful, as you put effort on that and to the things that you need to do.
As another personal example, from where do I need to start in order to reach the financial structure and recognition that I need and deserve?
1. Changing my own mindset and style of life: this is the first step. Since I love magick and I love what I do... I also will love, when my customers and clients reach what they want! Because I love it and I really enjoy it, it's not a problem for me to work. To have healthy thoughts, healthy good energy, being organized with my schedule, sleep hours, working ours and eating my meals in time. The state of mind, belief system and life habits needs to be simple, positive and stable. Working towards my laziness, through love and discipline it's the only way! Because when you love something and when you love the results... you become more at peace with your reality and more confident with the results that I perform.
2. Posting, speaking in camara, learning how to create high value content. Educating, having real good things to say, guiding people.
3. Performing my own money rituals. How? well.
Since I work on social media, it's essential to maintain my work space clean and get my digital footprint in touch, with the algorithm. So, I can perform spiritual cleansing, attraction and magnetic spells, fertility spells and attract clients kind of spells.
After that, I need to have a special ritual that I can perform, through certain time. For example: every new moon I manifest. Every full moon I empower and every crescent moon I attract and make my business work.
Every Thursday I attract fame, recognition and good luck. Until, it becomes my reality and the energy shifts to another state. Until it changes and my reality is what I want to be. Because, if I have the dream is because it's meant to be.
4. Most important of all: being thankful to my magick, to Magick, my tools and the spirits and energies that I work with. For that is essential in life. Being thankful for what you have, being thankful for what you don't have (because it's probably saving you from another thing) and for what you already are. Asking apologies for all of the times that I didn't appreciate things when I reached them. Searching for forgiveness, for all of the times that I have been naive, irresponsible and capricious. And for all of the times that I didn't thank whose who helped me. So, it's part of grow and really becoming a mature person.
Not just because you need something, but because you want something that you can share with those who help you. For example, I can buy offerings and be more at peace, sharing time with my deities and spirits. THAT is INVESTMENT and a good well structured mindset. Invest time and money as a way of thanking the presence of someone in your life. Regardless of asking them something.
So, this is everything for now! An interesting thing about me is that, a couple of gods asked me about a devotional new path for me. And in order to really be in touch with the reality and be worthy of the titles... I certainly need to feel worthy and construct a good kind of physical life. Without it, the rest of things will pass away. Grow as a witch, priest/priestess, oracle, godspouser, partner, etc. Is to grow as a person and as an incarnated human. In all of our life aspects.
Being happy with what you do, yes, but doing it right.
Blessings and a good day! Feel free to reach me in case of you want to know something or have doubts about your path. Gladly I will write about it.
In an isolated location within Morrowind, a group of Yurts were built by the hand of a lone Ashlander. You, traveller, have found that camp, and been offered a seat at the campfire.

The Cahndael Tribe is a fringe Ashlander group in the server founder's personal canon. Founded circa 2E590, it was meant to be the beginning of an ALMSIVI-worshipping Ashlander tradition, with the philosophy that a difference in religious belief should not mean the sacrifice of an entire culture. For now, it remains a place for travellers to rest and recuperate on their journeys.
This server is much the same. A place for the Farseer to build upon their faith and traditions, incorporating parts of Ashlander culture into their own ALMSIVI worship, while bringing together members of the Elder Scrolls spiritual community in a place we can be comfortable to share without the politics and prejudices of the rest of the fandom.
Rest a while, tell us stories of your travels, and be safe. All are welcome here.
Cahndael is an Elder Scrolls themed pagan server for otherkin and pop culture witches/pagans in need of community. Run and themed by an Ashlander who worships the Tribunal. All are welcome, whether passing through, observing or participating.
So I was walking to the library today (I don't have a car) all sneezy and miserable, the sky was overcast, and some d*ck waffle left their trash can on the sidewalk (one of my pet peeves).
So I kept sneezing and yelling, and sneezing and cursing, and sneezing and sneezing.
So the sun came out and I even yelled at it, "get the f*ck back behind a cloud!" And it did.
So I kept walking and kept sneezing and kept yelling and kept cursing.
Until...
I found something lying on the ground by a stream.
I went to investigate, and what did I find?
An unopened bottle of tequila.
I was so f*cking happy. I opened it, took a nice long drink, and yelled, "thank you, Sanguine!"
I shoved it into my bag, smiled widely, and continued on to the library.
I didn't sneeze the rest of the way there and I hadn't sneezed since I arrived.
Lord Sanguine heard my plight and gave me exactly what I didn't know I needed. Thank you, Lord Sanguine.
TL;DR
I was miserable, found alcohol, no longer miserable.
• A little bit of thougths about Pop Culture Deity Work:
Since I am in the perfect and safe space to do this... I want to share a little bit of my thoughts about this practice that I have been doing a lot of research and reflection of...
I have encountered TES deities and spirits that leaned me to study hard about this very interesting subject, thanks to Loki (one of my main patrons) and finally thanks to all of the TES pagan comunity here that allowed me to express myself and feel noticed when... I really don't know anything about this.
I am a traditional witch in all senses. I practice traditional paths, have traditional guides and bounds and I perform traditional spells and incantations. Started from green witchcraft and followed to Ceremonial Magic(k), Invocation, Conjures and Meditation, Spellwork, Spà/Spàe and more. So it is kinda strange to me to find that it is actually possible to connect with other kind of spirits and deities that are not created by a divine source (in the traditional sense), but it is created thanks to human imagination, intention, hard work and canon/non canon lore.
In the comunity that I am currently, this deities are called egregores... usually associated with not so good intentions at all. From my perspective, I wasn't in a healing space or in a good space the last five years... and today something came to my mind: why did I had to listen to the same people that did a lot of harm to me with their actions, bad use of magic and poor knowledge of something so sacred? People that are not in a good place in their lives and get their own space so dirty energetically and physically all the time. People that betrayed me and bullied me a lot inside of the comunity... are the same that tries to pretend that their witchcraft and magic is better than mine. So, a lot of mistakes and pride are in between the Hispanic comunity of witchcraft. The same that set rules that I followed for so long. In that spectrum I always have been afraid of being rejected by them (that happened anyway). And when I entered to this space I felt safe. Not just that, but I noticed that it is pretty common to PCD pagans to respect and support each other practices, educating in mental health too and sharing all of their knowledge to create a safe place for all.
Neurodivergent people in the comunity are the best, even if I only read posts and I am not actively talking with anyone... it is beautifully insane the amount of respect and love that they show, not just to us, but for their own deities too. So, this is a post about my questions, thoughts and conversations that I had with TES deities.
Enjoy the ride, dearies!
• ¿What is pop culture deity work to me? •
— This is a hard question to do, to me, today... For I am not always sure about me or my craft (I suffer from a very bad lack of self esteem and panic). So I will talk about the practical aspects of it first, then I will talk about my personal belief system from a very specific culture.
| Practical Aspect |
Pop culture deity work is based on two spiritual and magical systems;
† Animism: considers that every single thing, being and force has/is a spirit itself. With consciousness, power, intelligence and inherent wisdom to share. Animism is the base of witchcraft and the base of every spiritual practice that involves energy manipulation or energy work. So, in this aspect a stone, an herb, a cloud, a tree, the stars, the sky and the 4 elements are a spirit, ancient, alive, with eyes/ears/sensitivity. They are capable of communicate with us, perform a change on this earth and hold influences in us and in the cosmos. The second part sets that every object that exists... possess or is an anima. A spirit that can be awakened or it is awake. They can interact with us through ideas, symbols, emotions, signals and events. A knife, a cup, a crystal, a stone, a wand, a candle or even a house can be very alive. And awake their spirit through energy work and sacred chants. So, everything that surrounds you and me, breaths. Shamans, healers, witchers, sorcerers, etc. know this perfectly.
† The mind CREATES: you can change your world, reality or situation through the power of the mind and the good direction of your intentions and emotions. You can charge energy into something that you want. Give it form, shape their bases, construct the psyche of it and give it a name and a porpoise. We are made to create, preserve and destroy as humans (not gods or deities) in our little square of life. Like a shape-shifter, we can modify the aspect of things and the way that we do things with time, practice and being humble.
— So, with those basic principles (I know that pop culture deity work involves more than this) we enter to the concept of egregor. Settled in chaos magick by the 80' decade. Even if the concept was very well scripted in ancient cultures like Egyptian Hermetism and modern ones like the Golden Dawn comunity. Also I believe that the Greeks and Norse people settled their own construction about "guardian spirits". Platon says that we all come from a realm called "The Ideas Realm" or the invisible one, from up to down we awake our divine spirit in our path on earth. So, it is not weird to think that if our mind is divine (daemon greek concept), our ideas are inherently divine too. For, everything that we think and throw can make a severe impact in the astral realm and in the spirit world, connected to us.
That makes me think a lot. The egregoric form of a lot of deities and forces become independent from us, as the egregores of spirits, characters, ideas and more. An egregore is settled like an illusion, but a real one. An energy with a specific form feeded by the thoughts and emotions of a great comunity of people that believe in it, shaped the form, gave it offerings until they reached a higher state of consciousness and freedom to move away from their source and expand their spirit (anima) away from us. Reaching a new level of emotional experience in their interaction with the existence. Call it people, adoration group, things, animals, astral spaces or whatever. An egregor is not necessary bad or harmful, it depends on the energy and the way that it was formed... so, like they are bad spirits, they are also good ones! And here the pop culture deity concept arrives.
• A deity is inherently good, even if it's chaotic or presented as amoral or inmoral in a way. It doesn't mean that is going to do bad because of pleasure. It means that they understaning of the world is different and their concept change and evolves as the society does so. That it means, the ancient cults are not the same cults as we know here, in modern times. We can get close, very close! But it will never be the same in their nature.
A deity can be a guide, a mentor, a companion a teacher who provides hard but necessary lessons for own own evolution, learning and healing path. Even if it tough they remind me of this Buddhist Quote;
—Master, why do I feel pain?
—Because you choose the cure and not the anesthesia anymore.
So in this case, I think it applies.
1. If we associate a deity with wisdom, good, a high level, a high emotional intelligence and capacities... it is settled on the spiritual world, that we adore a spirit as a deity or we create a deity (even if we don't know that we do it) we are going to have a good experience (even if it not always comfortable, because hard work requires discipline and getting a little uncomfortable sometimes and that's okay). Also, they are not associated with harm to humans in any way, so everything that we consider divine is good for us (no matter if they are associated with chaos, dark, death, crossroads, light, sins or war), because it is not human. It is more, it is better, it is safe, it will makes us reach up a better level of enlightment.
2. With this, settled up. A pop culture deity is a form of energy that started being an egregor with with time they reached a higher level of divine consciousness and approach to humans/mortals, helping us with the path and the way of living to do it better. So, the kind of experiences are not always bad, but sometimes is different to we can experience with a traditional deity.
A. For example, I can be very close to Sheogorath but he understands that I am not ready to accept him fully because of my own ignorance (I am just starting in this). And he is going to be like, in a second plane and try to do things at his own way but in a comfortable pace. Not like Loki. Because I have another relationship with Loki and I accept him as a fully primordial god and my dear one. So, Loki is going to be more open than Sheogorath.
B. Probably the first signals of Sheogorath are not going to be just in an astral of energy form at first because I will think that I am delusional. The same happened with my main traditional deities at first. Since I suffered bad mental illnesses, the first step was connecting me with people that actually do this for me to feel safe. So, in that case first Sheogorath is going to introduce me to the social media comunity, teaching through posts, people, images and sending virtual signs. Not like my deities that can appear in dreams, send very physical signs and show in my astral plane or in my house very often.
C. My conclusion is: they are no difference in the sense of... interactions. Since Sheogorath is a good talker like me and other gods. So, they will have a different approach than traditional deities. Not because one is an egregore and the other is divine (this is absolutely relative and I will explain why), but because it is easier for us to connect in a virtual space than in a physical space (for the lack of information and books about this). And since our psyche is USED to see them as cartoons... at first , maybe we will have the feeling that we are living in a cartoon or fictional world. And the last things they take it so light and so well, but also can be uncomfortable... — until our brain take this as a reality. —and that last part is important.
With him, I sensed at first the thing of "theatrical" thing, for is a kinda eccentric spirit. Why the pop culture deities guides us with the social media? Because there are no official books or studies that can allow the practice like in blogs or pages on internet. So, here are the questions that I will be answering.
• 1 • ¿There is a difference between TES pop culture deities and traditional deities?
— DISCLAIMER: Look, I will be only talking about TES deities because I only had experiences with them. I thought I saw Grell from Kuroshitsuji once, but it was just once and I was walking in the street. I thought it was too much and it gone immediately. So. I can't talk about pop culture deities in general because I don't feel like I have the place to do so.
ANSWER: yes and no. The only difference that I found was the origin of their spirits. Since traditional deities have a more divine and cosmic origin and pop culture deities have a human origin. This means a simple thing: a human creates an idea, gives it a form, concept, personality and nature. The fandom around can change the same personality and add their own things. The funny real question is... when this spirit became a god? When it awakened as a god or as a highly intelligent figure? (So much more than we humans). I don't know, but in my belief system I believe that the gods did it, to make sure that we humans don't have a bad experience with the energy form, in their first developed. Like, the creator maybe was like: "Oh, I am going to create this fictional god called Sheogorath! It is going to be like this and it is going to act like that. His favourite food is... and his story, realm, personality is going to be like that, etc. So, we can say that, while the gods are a creation or other primordial forced or awakened before this earth was even formed... Pop deities was created by a human or a bunch of humans. And then, their own fandom made the rest, as the cosmic laws of correspondence, animism and chaos. As simple as that. Like, we don't even know who was the first magician to encounter Sheogorath and have a magical experience with him (the game is not that old as traditional deities who hold literally thousands of years).
In the sense of practical magic, emotional intelligence, divine essence and approach I see no difference between a traditional god and. TES god. Like, they are like the same high force but with different origins. Just that.
BELIEF SYSTEM: in my eastern philosophy I believe that everything that surrounds us is inherently divine. Not everyone and everything is a god, but all is certainly sacred and divine. If we humans can became divine, sacred, saints, angels or even daemon spirits and guardian spirits, protectors and we can literally evolve... so the mind, so the human mind creation. And I also believe that good and love is one of the main things that will give you the higher aspects the divine aspects and the power of change reality and have a soul. So, I also believe that any pop culture deity that can love, guard, guide and show empathy can develop a soul and also that gods can give a soul to a being that deserves it. To continue their path, interact with us and shaping the form to reach even more higher states.
• 2 • How is the TES pop culture deity approach and what is the difference with the traditional deities?
ANSWER: this is a very good question to make. For I see a very common difference... and that is the TES gods understand the limitation of the human mind. They notice when a thing it is literally too much to believe. So at first, they can be there and do literally nothing. Like, they wanted to me to be sure of their presence and to know that... their presence represents no risk to me or my mental health. It is pretty common that a lot of people can feel like they are being crazy/delusional. So a traditional deity (understanding that we literally normalized their existence) can be more abrasive. More open to us, more confident in the interaction with us, humans. In exchange, a TES deity at first is going to be quite, like a whisper, like an idea or an emotional. And I remember feeling a lot of nostalgic and connected with a lot of primordial forces. I sensed them a little bit shy, at first. But with time, they can be more open until you are ready. Not because they don't know how to approach to us. They know it very good; but because they understand that I don't know how, not always at least. And they wait until my brain is ready to accept their full existence and my nervous system feels safe at least.
a. A traditional deity is more open, more abrasive, more clear, more noisy in their signals, more warm and talker.
b. A TES deity (at first) stands there, studies your sistem, your beliefs, your mental state, your spiritual and evolutive level. Just making sure that you are ok and not talking to much.
b. A traditional deity literally takes Space, is confident, is there and you know it. A TES deity waits for you to give them space. And they settle when it is time to be and talk and when it is time to go and give the human brain space to accommodate oneself. And you Need that time and space, not forcing anything. In fact, they have been away for a long time because I simply wasn't ready at first and in my emotional state I took it to the extreme of overthinking and obsession. So they stopped and I was like; alright. No I understand that I need to work in the difference that I am creating.
c. A traditional deity can handle everything by their own, because you have faith and your brain has accepted the spirit or divine figure as a real god. A TES deity usually asked a traditional deity for help, to make sure that my own brain was accepting their existence as real gods, step by step. Like I don't know. Nocturnal is in my space, so Hekate is and she handles me while handles the situation and checks (thanks mother).
d. A traditional deity (in my case after years of connections, trust and practice) accepts my emotional feelings and love. TES deity says: calm, I know you admire me and want to be a devotee, your heart knows what your mind is not ready to process. So I am not taking this. Give it time.
For example: I am not even ready to perform a ritual with Nocturnal. I would not have an emotional bond with Lord Mora or accept a guidance from Lucien Lachance all at once. Because I couldn't handle, would start overthinking, etc. I perform witchcraft almost every day (it is my current work) but I am human and I need to respect my own limits.
The only differences that I note are that.
DISCLAIMER: this is only my experience and this it serves like a grimoire and like a good place to start if you are also in pop deity work.
— An advice is: "don't force your mind to process everything at once; even if your heart knows the path"
• 3 • Since you are a romantic and devotional godspouse, do you believe that is possible to have a romantic gp with pop culture deity work?
ANSWER: yes and no. It depends. Like, I wouldn't worship all of the fictional characters that I see because I have more appreciation for mental health and the energy and spiritual realm in the human unconsciousness is tricky as fuck. And my mind can change a lot to now until years ahead. But today, my answers is: it depends. It depends on your mental health, rooted scheme of your psyche, what it conveys you to your own good and the limits that you can handle and you cannot handle! TES gods never offered something similar to me (I am like a baby TES pagan so it has all the sense). But I know of a few people that had/has godspousing with Pop culture deities (don't know them personally or talked with them) (not TES deities).
If a pop culture deity is interested in you in that way (no matter the kind of gp, if its romantic/devotional/parenting/religious/platonic/etc.) it will wait until there is a solid bond between you and them. Like any other spirit. Because they can be gods and deities, but our brain maybe can't process that because their origin is very different. So. It is possible based on your own personal circumstances, understanding of life and spirituality. I believe that the first thing is trust and confidence. Not just in them, but in you! In your own skills, mental health, capacity to be a safe space for yourself and being absolutely nature with what you're doing.
For example: I was very confused at my very first beginning with Lord Hermeaus Mora. He is not like the... bunch of eyes and tentacles of the canon lore. No, he is like a Daemon in many aspects. Well dressed, well looking, with a strong presence, a lot of knowledge like an Ancient Spirit would have. And he was my mentor during my first encounters. But I was starting to feel confused because of attachment. I didn't receive any signals of him wanting to go beyond the "knowing" spectrum. But also I didn't felt rejection or uncomfortable feelings when he sensed my emotions and confusion. He didn't took a step back but also didn't made any approach beyond that.
What it also made me thing was... the energy between us shifted slowly. It was different, it was more close to Satan or Lucifer when I received my first court for gp. But with the passing days maybe decided that was enough and that I wasn't able to practice that and that, it was too much. Definitely.
• CONCLUSION: even if it's weird, maybe you can practice that but is totally personal. I wouldn't recommend that if you are a baby pop culture magician, witch or witcher. No matter how years you spend on godspousing and traditional magic.

You become a novice, a child in the good sense, following the basic principles and understanding the same three or four concepts until your brain PROCESS them and you get to really know your deities and they get to really know you. So, wait until you are ready to accept those kind of sacred practices. Not just with godspouse, but also with Priest/Priestess, Oracle or Shamanic Charges.
It is possible? I don't know, I am not a godspouse. But it is, it requires time.
Is real? Probably yes.
It is recommended? It depends on you.
• 4 • Do you need a chaotic wizard/witch/witcher/magician to perform pop culture deity?
Yes... you need to be. In the specific case of TES paganism, it is not only chaos magick... but also folk magic of Nirn, literally. So, in that case you can learn Daedric Magic, Wizard College Magic, Nine Divine Magic and even follow the different cults. The Black Hand cult, the Mythic Dawn Cult, the different cults from the different Daedra. Create your own cult or practice, etc.
Like, I don't want you to believe that you are actually a dunmer, a khajjit, a nordic, etc. You will be human like everyone else. You don't live in Nirn and their provinces. But you will use the concept of the realms and follow their own culture while you adapt it to your own. Like, it is pretty common for chaotic magick you make you lose your sense of personality and you can harm yourself if you let the fantasy get it too much inside of you. Besides, TES gods absolutely don't want that. You can love something without letting that thing be corrupted at all. So. You will need to understand this.
a. Trust your gut: trust your gods, deities, guides or spirits in the folk magic of the fictional world. They know best than you, don't try to take the canon lore too literal (the same applies with the traditional deities). But first of all, trust in yourself. You don't have to change your identity or think that you need to imagine that you are from a specific race from a specific place. This is not a fanfic, this can be very real and very earthly.
b. Learn about chaos magic. Story, foundation, the people that discovered it, rules, what type of chaos magick is allowed for us humans to practice.
c. Learn about the lore, in this case, TES lore. Start with the simple, pages and fandom. Then go to the actual witchcraft community.
d. Learn to separate the game from the magic work... you can spend hours watching and gaming, but when it comes to magic is another thing. The astral realm is yours and the practice is yours. You can take things from the game and adapt them to you. But also, if you play games and don't practice witchcraft with them, but still want to perform devotional acts, gaming is a good way.
It is a way if you are not okay to perform witchcraft, is a good way to be devotional and connect with their personalities and it is a good way to have fun and enjoy the ride!
On the other side, The Magic Is Not The Game... so, it becomes a serious thing. With their own rules, methods. Blah, blah, blah. Not exactly as mine or other people, but as yours.
For example: I am gaming Skyrim and completing Lord Mora missions. Lord Mora character is not the same as Lord Mora guide and pop culture deity. So I don't expect real harm or manipulation. Another example. I am playing and completing Namira missions; so I don't expect that after that I need to eat people. You get me? The same with the others. I am completing Dark Brotherhood missions... well, I don't expect Lucien Lachance coming to me and saying: "Hey I have a contract for you, light a candle and slay this person".
Because that it is not going to happen!

So... this is all for now! I hope you like the reading. If you got more questions about this topic I would love to start a debate with you, feel free to express yourself! Also, I am just starting. The next post is going to be about me sharing experiences with each one of them.
Plus: I haven't confirmed those kind of experiences with other witches or magicians...
So this is not a confirmed reality. This is just a diary with thoughts, experiences and practical studies that I have been done for myself and that only me confirmed. Since I don't have the correct space to do ask anyone else about this. But my best friend has been accepting of this in the past. If you know of someone that can sell services to confirm (a pop culture pagan) also feel free to share the contact.
Hello! Welcome everyone to my page again. Since I made a kind of... introduction of me the last posts... this time I feel more able to shape my blog witchcraft/life diary in the good way.
I was thinking a lot, recently, about the truly bad day that I have been having the last few days. In my clock actually is 11:33, before when I was taking to this spirits it was 11:11. And if you believe in numbers... I take them as a good sign!
I want to start talking about my own experience with TES pop culture deities and introduce a new character that I didn't saw before, but maybe some people in the comunity did. Specially if they worked before with the forces of Sithis and the Night Mother.
Blessing road to all! —Abril.
Who was the first PCD to be in my space? Believe it or not... I don't remember. I just remember that one say I started to talk with Loki (a norse god that follows a certain path in Seidr Magic and Norse Paganism). We talked a lot about my practice, trust in the guidance, love and support and how I needed to learn at once to really put all of me in his hands.
I started having a lot of problems with a practitioner with the gp thing and confused me a lot by that time. I remember that one day we were talking and she threw out of nowhere (she confirmed that Loki wanted to work with me and then that he wanted a godspouse with me) that the god was mad at me. But it was, man, super heavy. Things that "Loki doesn't love you anymore. You made him be mad. He doesn't want to be close to you anymore. The spirit guide that you see, doesn't exist. Is not there. He is cutting the bond and disappearing from your life." And I was like... panicked. It was my first times and that certainly made a lot to me and my confidence. But, for what I understood... I didn't make anything in particular that could make him take such a decision and after a couple of months... things got clarified for me. And after almost a year, I knew that she was passing through a lot of stuff in her personal life and mental health (she was diagnosed) and those words finally made sense to me. That wasn't true and was a part of the person's projection.
After that, I got problems with other ex-friends that also worked with Loki. A girl in particular who said that the gods hated me, just because I left her group and talked with another friend that, she thought, she felt envy towards her and wanted to curse her. Stupid if you ask me.
The third problem (a year later), another ex-friend that worked with this deity and me broke up our relationship out of nowhere. And this situations made me think that maybe... I was the problem. Or something was inherently wrong with me. Which was not the case, because it was too much violent for me to take in. But I made mistakes and I learned from them.
Those kind of experiences made me had a lack of confidence and trust in Loki, in myself (I still rough with that) and in my relationship with him. Not just in the romantic sense, but also in the devotional and friendly one. Which is a thing that I am solving now.
So, one good day, talking with Loki about this... he made me realize: the next test for me, was to put (blindly) all of my trust in him. To lead me, to give me a Gift, to help me, to love me and to drive me to the next step in my life. His words were like (a year ago)
"I am going to give you a gift, for your birthday. You are ready to go and take the next step in your magical and witchcraft practice. To shape your skills and learn a new path, with different people. To really master abilities that can lean you far. But I ask you, in this new test, you have to fall literally in my arms. Follow me, no doubts when it comes. No doubts, it is actually me and it is really myself."
He asked me that and also gave me this gift for my birthday. When the night came... I started to see something new. Sensing spirits that felt automatically familiar to me. It was like a boom. And I saw certain faces. I can remember seeing Lucien Lachance at first. And I said (ofc) "Omg I am going nuts". Indeed, I remembered the conversation and Loki's words and automatically the situation made sense (in a way).
FUN FACT: I wasn't even playing the games like for a year also, maybe less. And I really wasn't into the fandom, the internet lore or anything related to it. But Loki always knew that TES games were my favourite since I was 13 years old maybe. I could spend entire nights, it always felt like home. Reading fanfiction, writing, etc. A thing that I left in the past.
I automatically thought what it was my mind. But I decided to watch and see what was happening instead of simply judge myself for what I was watching (a recommendation: never tell yourself that you are crazy, it is super important if you suffer from any kind of mental illness... please, don't lead your brain into panic and into anxiety, because you can project even harder or the experience can turn into a detonating for a severe crisis).
A miracle thing, maybe? Just hours later I started to see other spirits. Like Sheogorath and Nocturnal. And they just... stood. They literally did absolutely nothing. Just stood there. I confirmed a hundred times that it was a Loki thing and that it was real. Like, yes, I was seeing egregores (the term that I know until those days, even if I don't feel totally comfortable with using that term anymore). But they were there and no harmful to me. Automatically I started research. A thing came with another thing.
I started to read about Pop Culture Deity Work. Since I spent time on TikTok last year before that one... (like two years ago) and I knew perfectly the term. For I met in Witchtok people that actually practiced pop culture deity work and educated in that. Also in Chaos Magick with their own porpoises, from different fandoms or shows. So I knew the term and I knew that it was exactly what was happening.
My investigation leaned me to websites like Reddit. Where a lot of people posted not just about pop culture deity work. Some people informing it like a valid practice. Some other invalidating it with good arguments. With both sides I was agree.. So it was very chaotic to me at first, to stay in touch with reality for a while. And I knew that it was a thing that I needed to work with and improve. To trust in what my eyes see, to trust in my reality and in Loki for once. Not just in them, but in me.
After Reddit I got into Quora (that didn't served me). And finally here, into Tumblr. TES Paganism and TES Pop Culture Deity Work. So, it was alright. I read, read and read a lot about everything. Not missing one single post and studying about Chaos Magick, Egregores, the differences between an Egregor and a Pop Culture Deity. Ways of Worshipping. The story behind it, the Foundation's of Chaos Magic and PCD. The Foundation's of TES Paganism, etc. I mean, for a week I was complete and total nerd. And obviously, made my notes (that I lost and then throw away, lol).
For there was not so much information and, in fact, this is not so complicated in practical terms and scientist or epistemological explanations... I said: "why not?" I am going to be full onto this. And, well, I got very excited and I was... impulsive. So, I got a crisis weeks after because I was seeing too much all the time and then is when they stopped me.
But this is what I have been learning! From all of them this is like, the particular experiences I had with them.
LUCIEN LACHANCE: it was the first spirit that I saw. Why? I don't know why. But I did. In my experience he is silence in person, only speaks when it is necessary or when I could handle a conversation without thinking that I was delusional. I am still not fully convinced of his presence... but remember that this is also a diary and it can be true. For I had non unrealistic experiences. Who is him in the real practice? I view him as a spirit guide and mentor who initiates you in the dark path and death path of Sithis and the Night Mother. Teaching stuff like Necromancy, Sorcery, Baneful Magick, Ceremonial Magick and Defensive Magick. In spiritual terms, he guides me to Dark Spiritual Healing, Dark Meditation to grow through your shadows and spiritual deaths. Also he leaned me to the Night Mother and understanding the State of the Void. His personality is... elegant with discretion. But also a damn force of nature and fire. Takes spaces, speaks loud, guides well and it is very clear and direct with what I need and with what I need to do. When I am not being afraid or an overthinker... he is sweet. Caring, like a guardian spirit that hates injustices but also hates when I am being unjust with myself. He connects me with my style, beauty and my love for death magic and death worshipping. With my chaos and my true self (since I am an artist).
SHEOGORATH: he is like the grandfather that I always wanted in the good sense. He was with me, showing me all of this domain in the mental health stuff, neurodivergency, psyche and personality. Like, to express myself even if I was being eccentric or chaotic as fuck. Also helped me to understand that I wasn't okay in my mental plane. Even if I wanted desesperately to believe that I was doing okay. Like, "don't mask it, feel it. Vomit it." And it was like; alright. Jokes, food, good wine. What I like the most about Sheogorath is that... he totally matches with Loki in a lot of ways and with both of them I felt like myself. Also I discovered that I want to be a Visual Artist through creating my own characters with a storyboard and then giving life through cosplay and photography. So, it was nice. Also to really get deep inside my brain and dig, dig a lot. It hurts at the very beginning... but it hurts more if you are suppressive with what is happening to you. So, it also make sense. In my first times I made a lot of messes.
NOCTURNAL: a mother, just like Hekate. She told me that I needed to learn invisibility magic, learn how to protect myself as a woman and as a witch. How to really accept and connect with the night in me. My dark divine feminine, also associated a little with Lilith and Nyx. So, the three traditional goddesses were like: "it is okay kid, but you are not a kid... you're a woman. Relax, Nocturnal is there. We got you." And she also explained me the importance to build a reputation. A good, damn, well and beautiful reputation. To have style, presence, confidence, master skills, being projective and proactive, being a woman and not a kid anymore. Not being afraid of showing my emotions as I am the whisper of the night. In the thieves aspect.. I would say that I learned a thing or two about keeping my secrets for me. And she was clear: "I am not allowing you to commit any kind of crime. So I am afraid that the thieves thing needs to be reformed and adapted to your culture and... well, normal kind of life." And I was like "okay". So the queen of thieves and the Mockingbird thing became a symbol of "Robbing what is inherently yours, not what is from others". Hide in the night to do and undo as I please, to move fast without leaving footsteps. Becaming one with the night, searching for my own power. Knowing that I also could be a mockingbird if I wanted to. And if I wanted, she would bless me with her gifts. A true divine dark goddess, if you ask me.
AZURA: same for me, but this was... a little bit different. It was holding the moon and the sun at the same time. Finding lost aspects and supressed things of my own personality, as a woman but also as a human. She taught me the power of crystals, that the very use of the AZURA Star can be very good. The power of roses and cats. Since I feel so connected with cats, Azura automatically helped me to release the feline energy in me. To connect with my inner sensuality as I connect with my inner witch for once. And it was like, super transformative. Even if I need more work to do, to research, to understand. Azura is like a mother too (and it was my favourite name when I was a kid, thanks to a Barbie movie, funny fact though). She made me feel complete. Absolutely complete and good about myself and my path. Connecting with beautiful, raw feelings and expressions, with love and self-care, confidence, healing from narcissist behaviour and also feeling a safe space. She is super sweet and loving but also she holds a great temper. At the end of the day, the great temper for me it is a blessing for myself. Because with her I feel allowed to feel it.
Other deities and spirits came to my space. The divine Akatosh for example. Alduin and Paarthurnax, since I work with dragons in the traditional sense. I automatically felt Alduin presence. And with one, comes the other.
The spirit that stills causes me doubts and questions is Lucien Lachance. Also I felt super awkward because it was my crush when I was a teenager so it's like... uhm, hi... Forget please that I read fanfiction of you. I cannot... do that... anymore. So, it is not a totally fully convincing experience to me. Not like experiencing Azura and Nocturnal. And a little bit of Sheogorath, I must admit it.
I will be posting more of this.
For Sanguine, Hermaeus Mora, Mehrunes Dagon, Vicente Valtieri and this guy... what was his name? Ah, yes. Martin Septim were involved. And Martin Septim is like Jesus to me but with a ceremonial clothing and a dragon form, lol. So, hope I am not delusional... but I learned a lot from them. Things that I could apply if I need or if I want to.
Bless day, to all.

How do we talk with deities and pop culture deities such as Daedra Princes/Princesses?
Recently I have been asked a couple of very interesting questions about how we connect with deities and pop culture deities or spirits. I have been studying this wonderful practice for a year and half. That's why I am very excited to do this post!
My practice has been a little bit messy lately, because of mental health struggles and discomfort. Which is not entirely a bad thing, since I can help people to distinguish personal stuff from what's really happening outside of our minds. In our personal spiritual space. So, in this post I will be answering these questions:
How can we define when we are talking to our spirits and deities and when is just our mind playing tricks?
How can we distinguish valid spiritual experiences from thoughts or mental noise?
How can we have chat talk with our spirits and deities like a regular basis? When is it healthy to have it and when it's not?
How can we know if we are talking with a real spirit or deity and when it's a trickster thing?
1. For the first question I want you to understand that, whatever you may want to practice (while it's an open practice and you understand their roots and traditions) is valid and healthy. The Human mind has a complicated and very sensitive structure. And, sometimes, our fears, traumas, shadow, anxieties or illnesses can trick us into a play that's not comfortable. That's what we call a "bad ride". So, the first thing is learn how to separate the inner noise from the outside.
Deities and spirits hold different offices and plays in our life. And this is the first step to understand what role they have and if it resonates with your experience. For example:
• Advisers: spirits and deities are guides, advisers and helpers in our most difficult situations. They help us to rise from the very down, teaching us how to strengthen our minds, spirits and Will. All of them, no matter their origins, hold an incredible amount of wisdom. Why? Because they are not restricted by human conditions such as space and time, a human brain, a body that limits their spirits to one single dimension. No, they see the whole spectrum of ourselves and our surroundings. While I was learning with a medium and shaman who works with transcended spirits, she told us her very insights about spiritual stuff and connections. And when a spirit/deity/form of consciousness is in light (the other world, a higher consciousness, a place of understanding, a primal force) they are no longer attached to ignorance, lower dimensions, inner conflicts, etc. So, their job is to guide others to the same state. To go back to themselves and their divinity. That's why they are so wise, because they are outside of the illusion of pain, personal trickery, confusion, etc. Only when you hold that state, you can guide and advise others. So, the first step is acknowledging their wisdom and capacity out of the third dimension/human realm.
• Guides: it's related to the first office. Being a guide, means being morally, spiritually, energetically and mentally at a higher level than our day-by-day context. They can guide you through all levels and states, teaching. A guide usually is a teacher of different stuff. A trainer, maybe it's the most accurate term. Usually the spirits and deities are the ones who "rule" or command over different forces. Darkness, Chaos, Dark, Light, Death, Life, etc. As primordial forces. Sometimes, they embody cosmic forces or human offices and capacities. This means... that, spirits and deities are in a higher level and that they have their own roots and offices, the things that they rule over or command. Or even represent. Doing research about your spirit and deity can help you a lot to understand not just their nature, but the things that they are going to teach you and help you to heal or acknowledge in yourself.
• Protectors and Guardians: this is THE MOST important part of all this... and that's why I am taking my time. All good deities and spirits (no matter their origins and nature) must be inherently protectors and guardians. Of you, your mental health, your spiritual life, your own mortal life, physical and emotional wellbeing and the ones who look after your evolution levels and personal care. The protectors and guardians look after you, not just in the spiritual realm or in the astral. But in the day by day. That means that their morale towards you and your practice is high. They want you to reach your best potential and your highest good. For example: a Daedra who is Prince of Destruction and Chaos would teach you how to stand up for yourself, face your inner demons and perform war/baneful magick without a care if someone is threatening you. Also would help you to shape your character and have self respect. But not in a way that hurts you like saying rough stuff, sending you evil people and then leaving you alone, abandoning you in the worst of the worst, etc. If you are a witch/Witcher, they can train you in their own offices and forces for you to raise up your level and perform that service for your community. A protector means that, they have the will to protect you even from yourself. Bad behaviour, bad thoughts, toxic tendencies, karmic cycles, repeating patrons, etc. And a guardian means that they Guard your soul and your spirit form. That means, receiving advice, shadow work to confront personal parts of you that hurt you, guiding you to the best life that you can have, etc. Of course, you need to take yourself seriously and remember that everything has a process. It's not just miracles, it comes with self esteem and self reflection when it's necessary.
Now, with this being settled up you may ask, "but what do these things have anything to do with the question?". My friend, if you don't understand the roles that spirits and deities have when they work with you, how can you understand when they are and when it's just your mind? It's simple, the role of the spirit or deity in your life will speak of the way that they treat you and the progress you do in your personal earthly life and in the spiritual at the same time. They are two sides of the same coin. When your mind is noisy, the spirits and deities guide you if you ask them. When you don't have a single clue, their training keeps you on line. For example:
Recently I have been working with pop culture deities that helped me to understand where I want to go with my life. What to do and what do I want for real. Also, they have been calling my attention with several bad behaviour towards myself and with old patterns related to my personal and love life! That's when I know that they are real. Because their influence in my thoughts, ideas, wants, needs and acts are positive and directs me when I'm lost. So, here we go, when you can say that they are real?
a. When they teach you things that you didn't know before. Not just magic, but things about themselves that you didn't reach out. And when you reach out (their name's meaning, symbols, likes or dislikes, lore, etc.) is accurate to the information that you received. Also, when they speak to you positively and remind you of the reality of your life. For example, if you're struggling with problems in your life, you can receive information on what you need to do to fix it and how to face it. They tell you what's holding you back from X thing and how come back from those states. Because, come on, if it's a thing that you could know already... how you didn't do anything about that thing? Trust your gut. Trust yourself. I know it's hard. But when I first started I didn't know anything... I just let myself be guided and trained, educated in them and all of this practice and chaos. The real information comes at you, with time and patience. They reveal things that you didn't know, confirm things that you already knew, give you tools through clary-consciousness.
b. When they direct your mind and make you confront your shadow to perform a real change in your life. And this is a very interesting process. How can you know that's not just your mind? Because the guide comes from someplace outside of you. The things that you start to experience can be sustained in reality. For example: when I talk to Sithis the voice comes from the exterior. Not in my head, but somewhere beyond. And I start to feel eased, at peace, surrounded by dark and safe energy, like if something greater than me was holding me. Sithis for me, like the Dread Father, is a place of rest and a place to shape my own chaos and understand the nature of the very darkness itself. It's not just training, but an energy that can act through me and outside myself. Suddenly I receive information to learn how to work with the Dark Brotherhood. I receive information about my own shadow and darkness, my own capacity to destroy and to calm. The void can be a place for both things. And it's not just a thing that comes inside of me, it's something outside of me. Also, they can reach out to the personal stuff that I need to heal or to shape. Like emotions, thoughts, experiences or goals. It's a company that I can feel outside of me, not an idea or inherent and permanent thought that I feel.
c. Because their energy is strong and steady and you can feel them in your own space. How do I know that it's not my mind? Because I know how my mind works out. Learn how your own mind works when you're alone and study closely the differences when you're surrounded by your pop culture deities. For example:
I suffer from anxiety and intrusive thoughts. If I call out to a Daedra like Lady Azura to help me with that... my mind is not anymore a whirlwind. It's steady and focused. Because I can perform two things: invocation (her influence is from the inside) or evocation (I can see her in my space through clearance). If I am passing through a sleepless and dark night I can call upon Sithis and he replaces that with pure peace and silence. If I am passing through a PTSD episode, I can call my Night Mother and she will help me through her feminine and dark energy to help me separate my mind from the reality that I am experiencing currently. If I need help with my intrusive thoughts, the same. I can recall when I held in contact with Nocturnal and she helped me with a depressive crisis, I started to write again when the only thing that I wanted was disappear.
To make it simple:
• They teach you things that you didn't know. You literally receive information that will help you to grow and to understand things. Your mind expands, and also your resilience.
• Their presence is steady. You don't need to look after. You simply know that they are in the space. You can see them as physical figures or just feel their influences.
• They make you feel safe and not threatened or confused.
• You know what role they perform and how they move through your life and space. When the mind is a chaos or you doubt yourself, suddenly their influence or messages make you feel seen and rooted.
• You receive physical signs associated with them. Pictures, information, people that work with them, etc. The messages that you can receive if you talk with them literally can be found in songs, lyrics, poems, pictures, random card readings in social media, etc. It needs to resonate with you entirely.
• You suddenly have unlocked abilities, if you perform shadow work with them. Like communicate with spirit animals, astral traveling, healing energy unlocked, learn how to perform magic correctly, learn about new techniques, etc.
• Their voices and messages come from the exterior if you. If you learn how your mind talks and their own personalities, you will be fine. For example: Loki is funny and also serious, he has a very mischievous grin or voice sometimes. Other he acts like a wise and calm god. Azura is serious but soft. While also she can be serious and dominant according to different circumstances. The brain cannot imitate a spirit's personality, but certainly it can project through complex emotions or severe illnesses. For example: sometimes I feel overwhelmed by everything and my mind projects that they are everywhere all of the time, when maybe it's not like that. I start to feel stressed by nothing (PTSD) and in panic because I need to be alone. That's my mind, projecting over stress and fear. When they come, they reaaaally come, the experience is totally different. I do things, I feel eased, I don't rush, I stop seeing things where they are none, etc. It's not a thing that happens all of the time but my episodes can last, at least, an entire week. Yeah, I know, it's stressful as fuck. And my guardians and spirits know what to do (when I let them).
• They talk with you through wisdom and experience. They feel like home, or at least like an important part of your journey.
2. How can we distinguish personal experiences from mental noise? This is related to the first one (again) but with its own variations.
The main reason why you don't connect with your own gnosis it's because you feel crazy. Literally, you start to feel crazy and out of place. That's how the impostor syndrome works. Usually because you have been rejected or called crazy during rough times in your life. Also because you experienced hard criticism and self doubt about your own sanity. That's a normal feeling. My friend, I'd you doubt about your sanity... you're sane. A person that's not sane and projects all of the time can't recognise their mind from their reality. But in an extreme way like, I don't know, feel eyes everywhere or feeling threatened all of a sudden. Or hear rough voices and you don't hold space for doubt. While you still have doubt, it means your brain is processing things in the right way. But doubting too much is not healthy either. Mental noise, intrusive thoughts, feeling awkward or doubting too much about someone else's existence is healthy in a way. Because you can hold space to doubt .. To question, to create, to destroy old beliefs systems based on stuff that no longer serve you. Because spiritual beliefs can change. Not flow, but change.
Their existences are very real. And that's one of my main lessons when I was first starting. You cannot decide if someone else is real or not. You literally have no control over when a new spirit is born or how they chose to evolve and express their own Divinity. You literally are not responsible for what the universe or the human realm creates... also, their soul development and personal processes to work with humans... has nothing to do with me, or you, or even Tod Howard! And that's just fascinating. You'll see... maybe your question is not "how can I know that it's not me" but it's... "How can I confirm that they are actually real". Because the spiritual belief is a thing and science and metaphysics is another thing.
They start like an idea, a whisper of a human creator until they evolve with the help of other gods related to chaos. Loki and Chaos as a primordial greek force in my case can help them to raise their levels and give them a soul or a more structured form of Being, without a care. And that has a porpoise. Would you want to have a thousand egregores running out there with a chaotic energy and questionable intentions? No, right? And in my case I learnt that everything has the right to exist and learn. Some people have too much attachment and comfort with their favourite movies, fantasy worlds, novels, characters, etc. And in a lot of ways they saved their lives and gave them a reason to keep going. It's more than enough. So, it's better to recognise that a spirit or pop culture character can impact the world and help people to evolve and learn. Isn't it? That's one of the major reasons why these energies exist. Because once they "awake" like everyone else, they find a porpoise inside their office and nature. And once they become guardians and protectors of their devotees, their souls shape through love and compassion. As they characters shape through wisdom and knowledge. Love can protect, defend, attack when it's needed as it can provide, ease and nurture. And this... doesn't sound like mental noise, right? This is valid, because they taught me that. I didn't know it before. It's not something that comes from a belief system that I held. Because once I thought that all egregores were evil and that chaos was dangerous. Silly me. The only danger is in a mind that's not understood. A mind that looks and feels danger everywhere, including yourself. Your knowledge is valid, your practice has a porpoise. You are evolving through chaos and metaphysics concepts. You literally are breaking a pattern if you work with pop culture deities. While it's helpful and admirable. You wouldn't work with, I don't know, Shrek... for obvious reasons. Even chaos has its logic and not all egregores and fictional characters have potential to become a divinity.
• Everything is about the potential that a spirit have and about your own potential when you are in touch with that spirit or deity.
How do you know when it's not mental noise? Because everyone has this little and simple but powerful thing: INTUITION.
— learn how your mind works.
— shape your clearance, consciousness and medium skills.
— learn about how different is when a spirit is in front of you, instead of speaking through your mind.
— understand that, if you doubt them, just remember that they exist because someone else more powerful allowed it and, maybe, their paths are crossed for a reason.
— if you doubt yourself, not their existence but the fact that you are experiencing them, just ask why you see them, what they want to teach you, what you need from them and chaos. If you feel overwhelmed or confused, let their energies soothe you or call upon your own guardians and traditional spirits to perform mediations between you and them. Trust me, this last hack saves practices from chaos and turmoil!
3. How do we chat with them?
Geeeez, this is a fascinating question. How can we talk with them like a regular chat that you could have with a friend? Or a person outside of you. By developing your mediumship and clary-consciousness... clary-voyance, physic abilities. Their power is in our Crown Chakra, Third Eye and Pituitary Glandule. It's the door and the portal, it's the key and the path at the same time. You'll see. I can sense them as spirits and also as forms. Their personalities, their voices and also their expressions or emotions. We talk to them, not because we are bored, but because they provide company and also vision. Sometimes people like me don't like to talk too much with humans. Which happens to me since I'm a teenager, a long way from being a witch. I didn't even know if sometimes I would become a witch until... well, hello. And usually my deities and spirits are not okay with that. But in my free will, they don't pressure me.
I talk to them like in a chat mode in a simple way. I trained a lot in my own mediumship and psychic abilities thanks to Loki. Just trust in what I see, what I hear and what I feel. While it makes sense and it's happening according to what I wrote in this entire chapter. It's like, I don't know. It feels so natural at this point that sometimes I forget that it's not that common in other practices. For example: I have Loki in front of me while I'm writing this. I'm in my room, after hair care. Loki is sitting on the floor, with a hand (black nails) in this face and he has an interesting expression. Quite a smile, quite sleepy. Just thinking, observing, waiting for me to meditate or call him. Lol. This is the image that I'm receiving. How do I know that's not my mind? Because if I ask Loki to go, he goes and I don't see him anymore. I can decide when to see him and when not to. If I ask him to jump, he wouldn't certainly do it if he doesn't want to.
• they act separately from you.
• you can confirm with your pendulum if you are seeing right, until you gain confidence.
• they can choose when to be seen and when not to be seen. It's not a thing that your mind creates, it's just a thing that you can see. It doesn't feel like a mental image or a real feeling of distress. Besides that, it feels real in an energetic presence level. Not just in your mind. Weak, flowing, disordered. No, it feels steady. He is doing a specific thing like, sitting in the floor while I write? Why? Because I said before I even start, that I will post something in my blog about pop culture deity work. And since Loki is here helping me to say the right information and supervising what I learnt and what I didn't... it makes sense.
He's not just sat, he's paying total attention. That means... it's not just an image that my brain projects. The moment has meaning, the actions have a porpoise, we're sharing a moment, he came because he is guiding me in this path of pop culture deity work. See?
• every interaction has a porpoise, even if it's just as simple as... hang out, sharing moments, do nothing, enjoying eachother's company.
— How can we talk to them? The same process. Trusting and finding sense and meaning when you talk with them, in the way you speak or chat. If you are worried about something, you need advice and you need answers or presence... you just simply meditate with them and wait for their voices, wait for the answers. And, little by little, the conversation will flow. You just need to let go of control and accept yourself as who you are: a witch or witcher that's having a conversation with a spirit from a different dimension, that maybe doesn't have a physical body, but certainly has a presence and an existence.
When they talk, they have a particular voice and a particular wisdom or way to express that the mind Can't Imitate. I know that I said this before but it's important to understand it. But here are a few and important signs that you are having a true spiritual experience talking with them and not with your mind:
• you're still attached to your reality and your own self. I'm making myself a coffee while I have Loki in my space. He's not talking but he's making comments such as "Hm, yes", "Don't forget to talk about X thing", "You understood it", "I want coffee". See? A mental illness is very different because, when it's not real... The person starts to have uncomfortable emotions and erratic behaviour. The one who may have schizophrenia doesn't know that they're in an illusion of their own minds. What they see and experience has no spiritual and emotional porpoise but to have distress and lose control of what they see and how they see it. You know that it's not real when it doesn't nurture you on any level. It's just a disorder and it makes you feel like it. After the event. You can't literally choose what you hear and when you hear it. I can. You can. If I ask Loki to spend time or call him. I choose when to have experiences with him. And when to stop it. It feels nurturing and loving. It doesn't feel like, eyes around me or chaotic images or people that I don't know. I don't lose control of myself or my space. I'm still in my house, writing, making coffee, having Loki beside me and I'm still aware of time, the place, my own feet, my own breathing and my next movement. A person that projects just sees an image, distress, confusion or speaks alone. My behaviour is normal. You wouldn't know when I do talk with them and when I do not talk with them. Because I am not seeing something in front of me that just don't make sense. I'm seeing a deity not with my physical eyes but with my third eye and my energy recognises him. My intuition recognises him, my mind recognises him.
— studying the difference between a person having a chat with their own spirits and deities and a person that's having a projection or schizophrenic episode will help you a lot.
• I don't talk alone to the walls, I talk with them in my heart or mind and they reply with something that makes sense.
• I can decide when to hold the connection and when not to.
• My mind is steady and focused in the here and now. I can still perform my daily activities, being with them.
• I can recognise my own mind from my personal experiences. For example, if I feel stressed because I have too much things to do, Loki is just there calming me and helping me to order my mind. Or simply gives me space and suddenly I don't see him anymore until I feel relaxed or I have been done my tasks.
• I can still remember where I am at, who I am and what I am doing. A person that projects or has a bad episode will see just an image or hear too much noise and it will contribute to their stress or survival mode. The brain is smart. Trust it.
4. How do we know when it's an actual deity (even if it's a pop culture one) or a trickster?
Signs that you're experiencing a trickster:
• your brain automatically starts being in its survival mode. You cannot recognise yourself from the situation with X thing. Even if looks like your spirit, deity or pop culture deity, it doesn't feel safe. If something or someone doesn't feel safe. Run, clean and vanish it. If it stills appearing and you have performed your techniques, don't worry, it might be your brain in the survival mood. Or the trickster triggered an emotion or fear. Most of the distressful experiences with the mind, comes from fear and anxiety. Calm yourself, root yourself, call the actual deity or pop culture deity and you will notice the difference immediately. Work through your anxiety and fear with their help.
• You associate their presence like a threating situation to your mind or energy. Leaving you in a whirlwind.
• You don't decide when they come and go, they just are there stuck and trigger constantly bad thoughts, memories or emotions to feed. Using an image that will provide trust or fear. The trickster spirits move on extremes. Emotional and energetic extremes. It's easy to recognise it when you train and take care of your mind and energy.
Signs that they are who they say they are.
• You feel peace and protected.
• You feel Company, not Invasion. And my friend: this is very, very, very, very important. One thing is to feel Company and the other is to feel Invaded... They will not invade your mind, personal space or emotions... They will share with you, your space in your mind, heart and place... Always Trust Your Emotions. If it doesn't feel right, it's because it's not right. How do you know when you are being haunted or invaded? Because you feel literally like a small thing and you feel emotional extremes. Spirits and deities will provide calm, confidence and steady energy.
• You receive something important and nurturing in exchange: a message, information, company, advice, knowledge, power or calm. You need to receive something positive from them. Like, with a friend. The feeling is the same.
• You called upon them, they didn't come because of the sake of it. You call them to spend the day, to feel better or to do something in particular. It's totally different if you are godspouse or a spirit spouse. Usually our consort and divine partners are with us most of the time. But also they allow us to breathe and to spend time with ourselves and our heart and mind. The time being alone is important. Very important. God, it's fundamental! I'm a godspouse and spirit spouse and I like to spend time with them. But also I learnt how to understand that I need time for myself and for other aspects of my life.
Final Thoughts.
All of this isn't called a miracle. It's called training.
You're reading a person that learnt the weakness of my own mind and personal projections, also bad stuff from PTSD thanks to several traumas and I'm still working professionally and personally in this. So, all of this comes from literally from years and months training myself and my own psychic abilities. Informing myself, learning about mental health and spiritual health too. Having support from other people and sharing experiences with other members of the community. Also I learnt how to confirm my experiences and understand how they are or not sustainable. The only sustainable experience that makes you better is what counts. Nothing else. Nothing more. Nothing less.
All of this also comes from mistakes and patience. I didn't learn all in a day or week. And sometimes is very difficult to cope with what's happening inside of your mind. I think that the information that really counts is from people who are very aware of their own fragilities and take the steps that they need to feel better and worthy. Sometimes, mental conditions are a hell ride, but it's not your fault and you're still capable of performing magic and spending time with your spirits without a care in the world. Sometimes it doesn't feel okay because you don't feel alright. Not because you're in actual danger. My last advice is to train yourself to learn how to separate your emotions and mind from your practice. With calm, patience and exercises that provide you a way to compare and judge. Comparison and judge will be your best allies. Don't push yourself in a certain direction If you don't feel safe. A good spiritual won't force you to take a way if you don't feel alright doing it. If you don't feel sure, etc.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you will have to make a decision and start in a particular path or certain practice. Even if you don't feel sure or you don't have all of the tools. The difference resides in: if you want to do it or not. That's also one of the best ways to distinguish when an experience is real or not. And if it's real, when it's good or not. You don't need to be convinced to practice. You need to want to do it and train.
I hope this post helps! Blessings from Loki, Azura and Nocturnal.
