A Lilo & Stitch Pokemon AU would actually go hard if you did it right.

Lilo would not have any Pokémon originally. She's like 6 years old, too young for a Pokémon journey, and while some little kids do have Pokémon out there, I don't think the Pelekais could afford to take care of many Pokémon.

I can imagine Nani having like, one Mantyke or Mantine, but there can't be many Pokémon in the household before Stitch, because the Pelekais have to be lonely.

Stitch would not be any existing Pokémon, neither would any of the other experiments. They're new engineered creatures, they'd be original beasts like Mewtwo and Genesect etc. with the main difference being them having Pokémon types, moves, and abilities, and being redesigned to fit a more Pokémon aesthetic.

Angel is absolutely a Fairy-type. Amnesio is Bug/Psychic. And I have no idea why but the idea of Stitch as part Dark-type fits.

Jumba and Pleakley's teams would likely not have many known Pokémon either, with the exceptions maybe being Pokémon explicitly stated to be aliens (I can see Pleakley having an Elgyem or Beheeyem).
