Pokémon x HSR world building ideas that are floating around in my head. Under the cut
Obviously in a universe as vast as the one in hsr, *checks notes* 1025?! I remember when there was half that!
Anyways, 1025 is still not enough Pokémon for my liking, but it’ll do for the bare minimum of world building I need (hopefully)
I’d like to think that most planets have their own native Pokémon, but due to the amount of trade that happens in the universe, it’s hard to tell which Pokémon ARE native. Especially the more commercialized ones.
Belobog may be an exception to this rule? I fear that many Pokémon and people were wiped out by the Eternal freeze. All that’s left now are likely ice-types, and whatever species they managed to preserve. Though I think if given access to fossil-reviving technology, they would spend a long time reviving said fossils. Possibly even discover some new species (hint hint: they’re going to have a lot of fossil Pokémon)
I think Belobogians would have definitely focused on preserving fire-type species of Pokémon, as well as rock and steel types. Darumaka, Rolycoly, Magnemite, Alolan-form Sandshrew, and their respective evolutions I think would commonly be kept by people in the Overworld. Just to give a sort of vibe to what I’m thinking (if I listed what Pokémon would be available in every area, I’d probably bore y’all to death)
No Pokémon teams yet, but spoiler. Sampo totally has a Klefki. I don’t make the rules (well I do, but shush).
The Underworld has many of the same Pokémon that the Overworld has, though there’s a large increase of rock-types and a lack of ice-types.
Feel free to chip in with notes. After writing all this I realized I should categorize the hsr enemies into Pokémon and Not Pokémon, so I’ll be doing that next instead of the Xianzhou!
