Shopping at Althea Korea (PLUS get a Php200 discount using my referral code!)
Hi! I’m back with another online shopping experience and a little haul. This time, it’s from the newly opened Althea Korea Philippine website! Althea Korea has been around for quite some time now but it was only last February 15 that they made their Philippine website public. They gave Filipino bloggers and vloggers a preview and pretesting of the website and I learned about this from one that I follow, Miss Say Tioco Artillero. And if you want to know more about how you can get Php 200 off your first purchase, you can go at the end of this post. ;)
Basically, this company caters to all of your Korean makeup and skincare needs (which I am practically obsessed with). Althea aims to assure free shipping (for orders ₱999 and above, 100% authenticity, the best price, and up to 30 days for returns. They carry most of the Korean makeup and skincare brands so it’s like going to Myeongdong (Makeup Heaven) without having to pay for airfare. There’s also tons of discounts on the website so grab the chance while you can.
This is their homepage. The first thing you have to do is create an account where you can put in your complete information. There’s an ongoing promo where new customers get ₱300 credit to their account if they sign up now.
After getting all the signing up done, you can now browse the website to add things you like to your cart. You may go crazy with this (just like how I did) but I mean, come on, Korean products? Delivered right at your doorstep? For the best prices? WHO WOULDN’T GO CRAY CRAY?
Anyway, after getting everything you need (and mostly want) in your cart, you just click the BAG button on the upper right corner of your screen and check all your items. You get a second chance to segregate and even add more if you feel like you need more! HAHAHA.
When you get everything sorted out, just type in your coupon code (if you have one) or skip it if you wish to and then check out. Here’s a sample I’m showing you.
Next step is to confirm that the billing address is the same as your shipping address, otherwise, you’ll have to type in both addresses. Mode of payment is through paypal which means you need to have a credit card or debit card for purchasing (unlike other online shops that can do bank transfers and cash on delivery). When you’re done, just checkout and you just have to wait 5-8 days for your package of goodies to arrive!
I ordered last February 17 and my Items arrived Febuary 24 so that’s exactly 8 days like they claim. All of my stuff arrived in a pink plastic bag sealed neatly and securely. (I didn’t get to take a photo of it because I was too excited to open). When I ripped it open, there were two boxes about the size of A5 paper. From what I saw from bloggers, the box would usually be pink but this time it was red and I’m guessing it’s because February is for valentines. Plus points for creativity and putting much thought into packaging!
Here’s what they looked like:
And when you open them:
The box also has Althea’s promises printed on them:
Now let’s move on to the haul. I will be doing a first impressions/review on all of these soon.
First thing I got was the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack. I’ve been so into getting fairer, more glowing skin these days so I thought I’d give this one a try. It comes in a pack of 16 capsules of the mixture which you have to spread and leave on your face overnight. It was originally ₱1800, but I got it for only ₱980.
What I love about Korean products is that they think of everything. They provide you with almost anything you might need about a product just like how this one comes with a little spatula.
The next one is a product I have long been wanting. It’s the famous Water Sleeping Mark (Laneige). I have been thinking of buying this since last year but just couldn’t get myself to do it since it was so expensive. But, there was a sale going on at Althea that I got this I believe 30% off (originally ₱1409 but got it for ₱980)! What a deal, right?
Again, comes with a spatula.
And if you haven’t noticed I’ve been all about the masks lately. So another mask yet again. It’s Polang’s 24K Gold Wrapping Mask! Sounds expensive right? But I got this with a discount too. It was originally ₱1800 but I got it at ₱760 which was more than half the price! I saw a lot of the bloggers I follow get this and they were impressed with the results. It claims to give you glowing skin that looks expensive (like gold!).
Again, spatula! Just love for Korean brands!
The last thing I got was the Innisfree No-sebum Mineral Powder. This one, I’ve also been itching to get my hands on. When I saw that Althea had a promo where they were giving this one for free with any order, I immediately grabbed the chance. Who doesn’t love free, right? It’s also one of the hyped products recently so I want to see if it’s really all that it says it is.
So those were the things I got from Althea Korea. Overall it was a pleasant shopping experience. Really easy and really fun! Go and try it sometime if you’re looking to buy Korean products.
Thanks for reading!
